I wish I could wrap my head around some Skellige decks. Some seem so obvious but I feel like I just lack the forethought to put into some of the trickier aspects that the faction has.
I like making SK decks the most. I just follow the general advice from the community. Though I tend to focus more on thinning 5 cards at least on most of my decks. After that, I just focus on the big finisher combos. When I made this deck, I wasn't thinking about the synergy between champion, hym and crows/witcher students. But I certainly loved it. It's the beauty of Gwent. Sometimes I won't see plays until my hand forces me to try and make points outside of my original plan.
I wouldn't say it has bad synergy with skellige as a whole. Lippy Cerys decks often run Igni quite successfully. Though I agree it can have antisynergy with Knut here. Igni is a card that can lose you the game, yes. But it's also the card that can win you a match when most other things aren't going as planned. I admit I prefer running it for the possibility of good content too. There is some truth to the fact that I lost the first game due to Igni. If I had a different 10 prov proactive card there, perhaps I could've won the match. But I also don't think it's just (and only) beacuse of Igni that I lost. Had I realized I was facing Renfri beasts from the beginning, my plan probably would've changed. And my decks are often not optimized. I mostly play a different homebrew every day. Thank you very much for checking out the video and leaving your comment! I love discussing deck building decisions 😀

Didn't you like the track selection?

Why do you keep Igni in your deck? It's bad synergy with Skellige, and it single handely lost you the first game...
