How can we as a nation condone this blatant interference of the government in the judicial appointments - and that too because a powerful ally was twisting the UPA government's arm? Now because of Katju's shocking revelations about how the Manmohan Singh's government needed the DMK's numbers to stay in power and hence advocated the promotion and making permanent an Additional Judge of the Madras High Court. (This man allegedly had helped the DMK in trying times - basically when one of them had been thrown in jail).
