(cont'd from previous)...I don't care what anyone says, THIS was the TUNE that brought the house down. I was jumping up and down on the couches in the VIP room with a friend having such a blast (and hating that it was only in the snooty vip room that there were proper comfy chairs for jumping. The meaty men of House music like Terry and his fellow craftsman will never be forgotten. They will continue to re-appear as time goes on because their music is SOLID not PLASTIC!!!
i never gave todd terry the listening time he deserved back in the day, my ears were pointed in a differant direction back then but this track just kills it every time i hear it.
@Ratmoonapper you ever spin house records at a club with two or more rooms, and within a few minutes of your set everyone in the whole place files in and starts jumpin to your beats, while the other rooms are vacant and the djs are gettin pissed that your killin. Happened to me once and it feel good to own the party like that!
Remember the walk down them stairs at Club UK, out in to day light, after a long night with Blu peter and Tony De Vit,pricless, those were the real clubbing days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im from the old skool of hip hop but i have to say, this tracks in my collection, dope speed garage, and yeah, they dont make em like they used too.... total wack ass stuff nowadays
Dropped this down at a planetarium party dominated by dubstep. Combined with other classics like this, I had the MOST people dancing than the other DJs! HA! That is what I am talking about! PS, I will be posting the planetarium set soon!
it's kind of a funny story.... I remember this year and the years before that so well. the UK music press was laughing at Todd Terry at that point because he wasn't the new flavour of the month anymore. Then come the WMC 1997 and at the opening party hosted by, of course, Miami's own Liquid on Friday night, ...
!!If you like this, then try Steve Mac - "We got funk". (Steve Mac is ½ of Rhythm masters) It has some great cutz and tricks, much much more, than this track has!!! And Im not saying this is not good, it's great.
