Yes, this song is on Spotify, that's where I first heard it, 'cos it dropped while I was at work, and I couldn't listen till I was riding the bus on the way home. This remix just blew me away! I had listened to sooo much Justin Timberlake before, especially when he released his first solo album "Justified", there were sooo many good songs on it, just like now how JK is releasing "Golden" and there are sooo many good songs in it. The 2 of them sound sooo good together, both vocal and dance kings, both great with rapping and vocal ad-libs... I would've loved to see them have more rap and vocal ad-lib exchanges in this song, cos what was in there already blew me away! And gosh, I am sooo wishing for them to perform this onstage together somehow, somewhere, sometime... or have a choreo-only music video for it... now that would really be dope, seeing them dance together. They both also have that Disney connection. So wholesome, but now so grown up as well. On the whole, this remix was such a treat for me.... I'm lovin' it! (And yes, that was intended :-p)

I don't think they thought about bringing JT on this until people started getting JT vibes from the original lol, but this remix is more than worthy to be the original it just fits having just vocalists on this production. I know if JK thought about it earlier he likely would've asked JT to collab instead, but it is what it is. JT did a great job blending together with JK for this remix. I know if it was an official collab JK would've loved to add more verses, adlibs and harmonies. But JT made it sound like they were actually in the same room together. It's awesome!!

I enjoy this version more, for the exact reasons you said. It's smoother. The original is great, but there is a jarring disconnect for me between the vocals and the rap feature. It always takes me out of the track a bit, and I have to concentrate to get back into the groove. This remix solves that issue and they harmonize so well together. I doubt there's enough time to make it happen before JK leaves for the military, but I'd love to see them perform this live.
