Good luck with your training. I'm a clydesdale too, 300lbs, 6"4 and have just done my first sprint triathlon. It was tough but so worth while. Don't worry about times just enjoy the training and the race.
I’m so glad you didn’t give up when you felt like you were going to be too slow. It’s so much more important that you are working at it then how fast you go.
Welcome to the Clydesdale Club! Everyone's hard IS different. Once you get that first race under your belt, you'll not want to give up this triathlon thing! Keep on keepin' on!!
263? Haaa, lightweight!!! No just messing with you bro. I did a sprint at 283 years ago, now I’m looking at a 70.3 at a current 345, smh. Let’s get after it fellow big guy, subscribed.
Hey even at 345 all it takes is taking the first step. I know for me it really took finding something I wanted. I have had my wife and a couple of friends try to get me to work out with them and it never really gave me a drive. It took deciding to do a triathlon to get me going. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!
I always joke that there is no way for me to compete with somebody who weighs 70 lbs less than me; they would literally have to be riding with a child strapped to their chest. But on the downhills I'm usually right on their tails, so I have that going for me.
220 lbs and up is the clydesdale division? I know I need to work out more, but I guess I'd be a clydesdale too. I never really considered myself a bigger guy, just a tall guy.
I have some buddies that when they found out how much I actually weigh they didn't believe me. I helps me to see why we shouldn't solely focus on the scale and more so what our body is able to do.
Great video! You got this!

So true. Downhill favors the heavy and aerodynamic.
