I'm most looking forward to the fact that April means the May video for when we are visiting! 🥳
My wife turns 21 on 4/11, and we'll be hitting the parks that weekend. We're gonna try out some cocktails and various other drinks we find. Very excited.

I love the parks but can't stand going in March or April. The crowds and the heat are insufferable for me, but honestly, I think taking the V.I.P. tour has changed going to the parks for me. I just don't want to go anymore if I have to wait in long lines. I wish they offered a free V.I.P. tour to top tier pass holders or at least gave you the opportunity to purchase one tour at half price. It's something everyone should get to enjoy. It's the coolest theme park experience on earth. I wish I could afford to do it every time I go to the park. Your videos have inspired me to attend the OI Meetup that's something I'm looking forward to so much.
Haha it’s like express. Once you experience the parks like that, you’re spoiled! We’ve yet to do a VIP tour and that’s one of the reasons we kind of don’t want to lol
I love these monthly update videos! You two were so helpful in planning our vacation during Spring Break. Using a lot of your tips we managed to get away from the crowds near Mythos and never wait in too long lines, but we still got to experience nearly everything! Keep up the fantastic work!

Wanted to add since you mentioned Easter at the Hard Rock Cafe, I got an email from Lowes that they are having special brunches at their hotels. Looked into it and the other hotels are as well including endless summer :)

Our spring break here in Central Virginia is the first week in April. I won’t be at Universal but I will be at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. They’ll be fairly busy as well.

I LOVE the new HHN merch with the "new" tag line! Last year was my very 1st time going to HHN and it feels good to finally understand the big deal about that oh-so-famous fog LOL! Also, I'll be at Universal for my Spring Break vacation next Saturday and I cannot wait to get back on Hagrids & ride on a float!!!

The April monthly update is finally here! And so is our vacation 😬 We will be staying at Cabana Bay April 16-23 and have 3 park unlimited passes for the whole trip. Super bummed to hear about the grad bash nights but happy to have advance notice of it so we can plan ahead and not be disappointed. Thank you guys so much for all your videos!❤

That’s so exciting! You have so many days in the parks it really shouldn’t matter for you, especially with express. Take those nights to eat at the restaurants in CityWalk and enjoy the hotel!!

Lol he does fish, but he just likes the hats. They’re like $5, so when they get sweaty and gross at the parks, they’re super easy to replace! Most hats he likes are $30-40, so much cheaper!

This is off-topic, but every time I click on any Universal-related video on RUclips, I get a Disney ad before. I mean 100% of the time. I usually get a Universal ad if I click on anything that isn't Universal-related. I just find that strange. But on topic i love your videos.

First day of Grad bash is Friday the 31st
Yeah this video was about April, though, so we didn’t mention it. We talked about the 31st in the March video!
We were there the 13-17 of March and it was shockingly not easy to find someone to sell the Mardi Gras food cards. Even at booths where the cards were advertised. One booth vendor had no idea how to sell the card and it was sitting advertised with the Mardi Gras freestyle mug on their kiosk. We finally got it but I just expected it to be easier
Oh wow, that’s really surprising to hear! All of the Mardi Gras food booths should be selling them, and in our experience they’re basically ready to go without much work. We’re sorry you had that experience!

I've been watching your videos for the last year preparing for my first trip April 24th-28th. I bought the season passes and we're staying at Sapphire Falls. I had hoped I'd miss most of spring break but this year seems busier than others. Two questions. Should I rethink express passes for a family of 5 and Do you have any suggestions for the order of parks to visit and bounce back to?
The back end of April shouldn’t be nearly as bad! I think my best suggestion would be to check passholder rates for the premier hotels. You can get 5 room keys for a 2 queen, so if you could find a decent rate for one night, that would get you express for two days for everyone!! The order doesn’t really matter either. Just enjoy yourselves!

Oh yeah, they opened express right at the end of February I think! We don’t have any plans for a cruise anytime soon, but they’re so fun!

Dudes. I have heard rumor that pushing the purple button on hagrids will make the coaster go faster for real than not pushing it. I tried smashing it as fast as I could and I swore we went faster. A cast member seemed to confirm that. But we need y’all to test it.

Unfortunately no! They only do that for Mardi Gras for whatever reason!

They can! They’re good at all restaurants in both CityWalk and the parks. That goes for both quick service and full service! We hope you have an amazing time at the parks!

That’s so exciting!! The first two weeks is when it’s supposed to be the busiest, so it should be slowing down that week!

That’ll be later, much closer to the event! You can make a good guess based off the dates and trends from last year, though!
When we’re talking about the food and beverage cards, can these be used at the restaurants in CityWalk? We are arriving on April 7 for two weeks and I was thinking of buying a bunch to use but we will not be back again for a few years after our trip.. Canadians here excited to get out of the cold!

The website says anywhere in the parks or CityWalk! It doesn’t mention the hotels, though, so I doubt you can use them there.

I am considering getting an annual pass. Do you use valet parking. Or standard parking? I used to have a pass, with standard parking.
We use the free prime parking with the premier pass! It’s super convenient!!
Do you need to have any sort of special accommodation or ticket for EPA? I’m going on April 7th and have a regular 1 day 1 park ticket and am staying off property, just trying to see how early I could get in 😭
You either have to have an annual pass, or be staying on property to have access to EPA

That is! It’s usually Wednesday through Sunday each week!

Mine or Tyler’s? Lol mine are Oakley frogskins. I got prescription ones for my birthday last year and love them. The ones Tyler is wearing are some cheap knockoffs we got from Amazon. They were like $20 for a dozen, and came with all different colored lenses!

This month is a terrible time to visit because of the early closings. Please reconsider if you're considering visiting.
It’s really just those three days. Other than that the parks are open 8-10 most nights!
@@ThePughTwo The week we chose is awful. 6-7 is the norm for Universal the entire week. Yes Islands closes at 8 or 9? I believe, but it's so annoying to have your plans ruined by these "Let's close the parks for high-schoolers and businesses," nights.

We would think so! You’d just have to price check tickets versus an annual pass to make sure!

No it’s limited to people staying at the on-site hotels and the two highest tiers of annual passes most of the time! Occasionally if you booked a package through Universal’s website at one of their partner hotels you’ll also get EPA, but it’s mostly just the first two!
