  • Greetings,
    In this chapter, I will comprehensively cover everything related to NotePerformer, from the basics to pro tips. I highly recommend that anyone using NotePerformer pays close attention to this chapter to extract the maximum potential from this library. Even for professionals, the fundamental setup may not always be clear.
    I've observed peculiar playback settings on my colleagues' computers from time to time. When I inquire about the reasoning behind these settings, the common response is, "I don't know, I just tried some of the options." It underscores the importance of understanding the basics and exploring the advanced features to optimize the performance of NotePerformer.

    Thanks for this video. I still can't find how to make the articulation legato in the string section without having to write slurs everywhere. Separated notes sound staccato.

    • @ilkayboraoder
      @ilkayboraoder  3 года назад +1

      Hi, you're welcome and there are actually 2 options to do so. 1 you can write "legato" with technique text entry. Or you can use tenuto always Plugin which is installed with Noteperformer. N. B. If you use legato text remember to not use slurs for that particolar passage. And to return normal write non legato.

    Hi ilkay, noob question, about the fortissimo dynamics in the Brass section, Doesn't Noteperformer balance well this kind of things? I mean, How can I trust Noteperformer play the right way in a balance way in the entire orchestra? Or the example you've shown is only because you want the real player play louder? I'm curious about this. Thanks in advance, good job!

    • @ilkayboraoder
      @ilkayboraoder  4 года назад +2

      Hi, nice question, Yeap Noteperformer is very accurate and trustable. And I can confirm with many personal experience comparing with real orchestra performances. However this example is about the numbers. Np is a middle sized orchestra with 8-8-6-6-4 strings size (as Ravel's indication on his piano concerto) So! If you write mostly for this dimension of an orchestra you do not need to manupulate any further dynamics (Almost) - (You'll see it at my upcoming example - stay in tune). But if you change the dimension you have to boost the size and sounds kinda. Because 4 horns will sound much more different between 60 strings than between 30 strings. Hope this answers your question.

    • @ilkayboraoder
      @ilkayboraoder  3 года назад +1

      Hi Arya, yes, there is a Strummer Plugin, I didn't have a chapter for that yet but you can read the manual to understand how does it work. Trust me it changes allllll the guitar sounding regard strums

      @@ilkayboraoder Do you mean the "Alternate Picking" guitar plugin?

    • @ilkayboraoder
      @ilkayboraoder  3 года назад +1

      Nope I mean the Strummer plugin which shipped with Sibelius. You can find it on Play Tab (Ribbon) > Plugins > Strummer. Or write it directly to "Find in Ribbon" as Strummer Plugin. It's a very funny one, You have to precise Down or Up strokes for each chords. Reach me out on Facebook, I'll send you a little demonstration video in case you can't resolve it.

    I know this is kind of late, but do you know how to go about mixing noteperformer? I keep having the issue that loud passages often sound too compressed. Also when i export the score into a videofile the audio quality is worse than when i listen to it in sibelius.

    • @ilkayboraoder
      @ilkayboraoder  3 года назад

      Hi, you should experience it by yourself slow by slow. But a good starting point is to reset all the mixer setting to default position by using Noteperformer's reset mixer Plugin. Video exports uses another protocol of coding. So that's why you will always get it lowered if you keep using mp4 format. You can export it as .Wav and then make a video by using .Mkv format but I don't know if it worths for the effort.
