Hi Sam. I really don’t think that the solar system is over 100 ly across. Wikipedia says that it is much much smaller than that. It is even smaller than one light year
I think it depends on how you measure the distance. It maight be smaller from the sun to the outer most planet but the impact of the gravitational pull from the sun is greater.
@@valwei2 that’s why I think it’s actually the heliosphere and outside the heliosphere is considered inter-stellar space. Because if you really think about it, every object in the universe have a gravitational affect on everything else no matter how minuscule that might be.
The solar system, which arguably ends after the Oort Cloud, is only about a light year in diameter... hell our closest neighboring star system Alpha Centauri is only 4 light years away from us, so how the hell can our solar system be 100 light years across? Lol and lastly.. our galaxy is definitely NOT 3500 light years across... it's an estimated 100,000 light years.
Many people have been asking me Space questions (Cause I'm the 'space nerd' of my friends and family) that I couldn't figure out an answer for. These were the questions: Why is Uranus sideways? Where did the Fifth Giant (Which is a commonly theorized planet) go? Why is Neptune so much farther away? Why can't we find the 9th planet yet? So I suddenly had the idea to answer all of those questions with one theory, which I will now call: *The 9th Migration theory.* It all begins with the Solar System, when it had 9 planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, 5th Giant, Uranus, Neptune. Everything was fine, until suddenly, 5th Giant collided with Uranus, causing Uranus to flip on it's side, and 5th Giant to fly towards Jupiter. The intense gravity on Jupiter caused 5th Giant to fly away from the Solar System, collide with Neptune, and both of those planets to migrate far away from the Sun. Neptune is still visible, and the 5th Giant is missing. The 9th planet is theorized to be between the sizes of Saturn and Neptune, and very far away, so I think that the 5th Giant IS THE 9TH PLANET, AND WE ALWAYS HAD 9 PLANETS!!! And that, my friends, is *The 9th Migration theory.*
