@@Hayley_7426thank you for your work with Parkinson's. I have had four clients with Parkinson's disease when I was a caregiver. I'll never forget when one of my clients was diagnosed. We both sat there speechless. She was 94 years old and healthy as a horse but was gradually having trouble with her mobility and tremors, so her family arranged for our caregivers to help her while she was waiting for test results and treatment. Good thing she had us because had I not been in the bathroom standing next to her, she'd be walking around with broken bones or worse from a fall she almost had. She started her medication and she quickly bounced back to her old self and no longer needed our care. I was so happy for her ❤ She was a sweet and tough lady who talked like Mickey Mouse haha. Learning is really not hard. Rumor has it all humans can do it. But as mentioned in fact #39 I suppose if you don't use your brain for that function for too long you may have a hard time doing so, or maybe even lose the ability all together... 🤭
I have a congenital condition called hydrocephalus. It's a CSF infection that causes a blockage in the ventricles of the brain. Depending on the location if the blockage, the resulting pressure can cause paralysis, blindness, deafness, memory priblems, seizures or even sudden death. I was paralyzed in my left side until age 3, in 1968. As of 2012, I'm legally blind.

This is very interesting 🤔 especially for myself as I am a survivor of a Brain Tumor 🧠 & I have had multiple MRI scans of my brain so I smiled before each number where you showed a small MRI...Also incase you thought WTF to the fact that you can have certain types of brain surgery whilst awake. I can tell you through experience that yes that is true, when my parents asked me about how I felt through brain surgery I said “What? I've lived with #68 for my entire life. No doctor has been able to tell me what it is, since sleep paralysis is supposed to feature scary shapes, as the brain is still dreaming. Mine isn't. I just wake up before my body does, and while I don't think it is extremely frightening (anymore), it is definitely extremely uncomfortable and hard to get used to.

hey Sam my name´s Cody I am 14 and I have cerebral palsy ( a dysfunction of the brain and/or spinal cord ) . I was wondering can you do 101 facts about cerebral palsy?
brain is an organ that serves as the center of the nervous system in all vertebrate and most invertebrate animals. It is located in the head, usually close to the sensory organs for senses such as vision. It is the most complex organ in a vertebrate's body. In a human, the cerebral cortex contains approximately 14-16 billion neurons,[1] and the estimated number of neurons in the cerebellum is 55-70 billion.[2] Each neuron is connected by synapses to several thousand other neurons. These neurons typically communicate with one another by means of long fibers called axons, which carry trains of signal pulses called action potentials to distant parts of the brain or body targeting specific recipient cells.
I remember all of my dreams, and i am an advent lucid dreamer. For some reason, as soon as my environment shifts really fast in my dreams i am aware of it. for example: i am in my house, then bam im at the beach.
@@penieweenieselenie7435 I'm sorry I didn't see this until now. The weird dream i ever had was going to space. This was one dream I was not able to lucid dream, but It was very detailed. I went to an airport and went through all the security checkpoints, waited a bit, then got on a plane. I then remember arriving at a space station platform where they were launching a shuttle. I remember the fear of going up. The anxiety, the extreme rattling of the space craft. Getting to the space station. I'm assuming the ISS, then look out the window and being like fuck this is intense. Infinite darkness. I then remember going back down to earth and hit when he got close to the atmosphere I woke up. I'm sure I've had weirder dreams, but I remember that one because of how intense in stuck in my mind. The scariest dream I had is where I thought I was awake, but I was asleep and I couldn't move. I thought I was being kidnapped by aliens or something. It was scary not being able to move. I then read about sleep paralysis and it was a relief to hear and see that so many others get this. The lucid dreaming comes in when this happens now, I can rationally in my mind explain it so I don't get scared. I love dreaming :)

So first you say that one half of the brain can savely be removed and later you say that damage to one half can severely damage the body. This seems rather paradoxical.
Due to a medical condition, my cerebellum was squashed down into my spinal cord... I have always been able to tickle myself, as well as being able to stop myself feeling tickles, depending on who is tickling me......
13 - "Roughly 3 quarters of your body is good old-fashioned H2O." 16 - "Approximately 60% of the brain is fat." Me: "3/4 + 60% > 1. I guess some of the water molecules really need to workout." Also 16 - Remember that Minsky guy earlier said it was made of meat? Just like in my school. I have questions about inconsistent information and I got asked in the exam about the name of some guy who was WRONG.
I am 27 and I have synaesthesia. When I was younger I couldn't understand why april has always been red and July has always been yellow. Just hearing the Number six makes me see a pinecone and hearing 100 makes me see a slice of Battenberg cake. But apart from that the other numbers don't make me see anything. My synaesthesia is also with certain sounds, words and songs. For example a trumpet played at a high pitch looks orange, and a klaxon sound is yellow. But these sounds must be at a certain pitch, if they are higher or lower it will not trigger the synaesthesia. The fret squeak sound when some people play the guitar makes me cringe. And the words burst and moist are awful they make me cringe. Yet the words moisturiser or moisture don't bother me, it is just when the word is said on its own. When I was younger and I would try to explain to people what was happening they just told me I was associating, but I knew it was happening automatically in my brain. And this really frustrated me as I felt that I wasn't being understood because when ever I tried to explain what I was experiencing, people just dismissed it as me associating. I researched it properly and since I was 18 I know for definite the name of what I have is synaesthesia. It's not always colours I see though, when it comes to certain songs it is mainly images or memories or certain chords make me feel certain emotions. This is why it's more songs will make me burst into tears than affects other people.I have an excellent memory, and when researching into the synaesthesia properly I discovered that the memory is a benefit of it. I can remember certain conversations from when I was six years old and I remember being four years old as if it were yesterday. I even remember to the point where I remember the date that certain things happened in my past. But when it comes to other kinds of memory for example number combinations, I find that quite difficult. I am quite certain I am on the autistic spectrum as I do have some autistic traits and have been told by some friends that they are sure I have it a bit. I would never get rid of my synesthesia if anybody ever offered a cure. I would probably get rid of some of the not so good autistic traits though, but I learned from my research into the synaesthesia that some autism often comes linked with it. If I could get rid of any of the autistic traits I would get rid of is that I get very attached to certain people very easily and they have sometimes called me to clingy. My ex was very horrible, and had a go at me because I can get frustrated easier than most people. But I can't help it. Just to confirm, by this I don't mean over the top frustrated like proper lose my temper or something, I mean that most people accuse me of not letting things go and struggling to drop things. But like I said with the synaesthesia, I think it is an amazing gift to have
