As I mentioned in my request, Alannah is Canadian, that's why you can't find her in the charts. This song hit 28 in Canada, 64 in Australia, and 26 in New Zealand. It didn't chart anywhere else. Like Sass Jordan, Alannah is a fireball on stage.
Alannah Myles is fire 🔥, just “Still Got This Thing For You” 🔥 she’s from Canada, how many great bands and performers Canada gave in the 70-80s, incredible song, this 100% should have hit the charts, because it’s the best song from collections Myles, Harri also pay attention to the songs: “Black Velvet” and “Love Is”, you will like it. 👍
Sadly, Alannah suffered horrific surgical trauma sometime in the early 2000s that wreaked havoc with her singing voice, to say nothing of her ability to physically perform over the top like she does in this 5* video for "Still Got This Thing for You," from her fiery debut album.
I've seen her live many times, and she's absolutely amazing. Her live voice is just unimaginably good. Power, range, grit, tone, flawless pitch... she had it all. Like many Canadian singers, she didn't really manage to break through to the rest of the world. The rest of the world does not know what they're missing. Sadly, Alannah kind of became addicted to chiropractor visits at a hundreds per year sort of level. The cumulative effect effectively paralyzed her. She's done some touring since, but would just get carried out onto the stage and sat down on a couch. She can't lift her head up, because her spine is curled over on itself which also prevents big, deep breaths, and sadly a lot of her voice's power is stripped away by her condition. Still, she has a big catalogue of songs worth checking out: Bad 4 You, Love Is, Sonny Say You Will, Irish Rain, Lover of Mine, Kick Start My Heart, Song Instead of a Kiss, Everything Missing, The Last Time I Saw William, Who Loves You,? Do You Really Want To Know Me?, Honesty, Yellow Rose, What Am I Gonna Do With You? All brilliant.
Love this song. Have her first album, which has this one. You should check out Black Velvet. Probably her most famous song. Its about Elvis, and Black Velvet was the name of Elvis' hair dye lol

But that's all I could find, so it probably wasn't a major single anywhere .. Great live song though !
Alannah and I dated for 6 months in 2013 and my favorite song is "Song instead of a kiss" check it out, it was banned by MTV because it was deemed too provocative. Her energy was always high vibe for her concerts. Cheers Just B.
