Lucy the buttonhole trick is a revelation….thank you
Great tip for larger buttonholes 👍🏻
That fabric was actually a perfect example for pattern matching. I think it doesn't matter as much on ditsy prints, but that was a very defined, large print, so it really made a difference in how professional it looked. Thank you for all the great tips!!
Brilliant tips, Lucy!
Wow, who knew? These tips are amazing, thank you so much.
Wow, thank you for those really useful tips Lucy. It just goes to show, no matter how long you have been sewing for, you can still learn new techniques. I would never have thought of that for the buttonholes
The button hole and binding hack!!! Brilliant!!
So glad you liked them, thanks for watching.
Great tips thank you Lucy. This is definitely a video I'll be saving!
Thanks Lucy. It's so nice to see you at the machine giving us these tips, they are so helpful. Could we have some more "how to" videos please? I still refer back to your invisible zipper and burrito method videos from a few years back😊
Wow, I have learnt so much, thank you. You show and explain in simple terms I understand.
Loved all those tips. Just about to do some bias binding so perfect timing!!
I've only seen quilts so far, but I may branch out. This was very helpful, and interesting!New sub!

Hi from Pennsylvania! Thank you for these great tips! Much appreciated!
Hello there, it's a pleasure, I'm so glad you liked them, thanks for watching.
Fantastic tips, Lucy! I’m going to have a good session practicing the large buttonholes. I’m the sort who doesn’t really understand a procedure like this until I try it out. 😘 🙌
Great tips, thanks Lucy. Looking forward to seeing your newsletter which I’ve just subscribed to ❤
I wish I’d known the buttonhole trick while my modern machine was still alive 😂. I learned to do manual buttonholes on my 1962 replacement when I found the buttonhole attachment took time to set up. It’s the only function I miss on that machine. Maybe on the next “tips” video, you could maybe show how to do one manually for those who don’t have an automatic buttonhole foot? The binding trick was also cool. Thanks for the tips!
Five stars for this vlog Lucy thank you so much. I am going to try the buttonhole tip in bulky places eg collar bands where the one step foot throws a wobbly
Wow! Love all the tips but the pattern matching one was bombshell! Thank you!
Whoop whoop I like that - bombshell, brilliant so glad it was helpful
Great tips, particularly the joining the bias binding, thank you.

LOVE the elastic hack - never knew of it - I'min my 60's & have been sewing since childhood.
yes I loved that one when I discovered it too, so glad to be able to teach people new ideas
Thanks so much. Really useful 😅
Thank you Lucy for these great tips! I am eager to try the buttonhole trick (a skill that I just learned), and am interested in seeing if I can use the binding tip for joining the ends of binding on a quilt. Thanks again from Alberta, Canada. 🙂
It's a pleasure, enjoy trying out your new sewing knowledge!
Great tips! I really liked your large buttonhole tip, because I did not realize how the lever was contolling the steps. I have been having problems with my one-step buttonhole maker, so this might be a way to trouble shoot it. Thanks, Lucy!
Great tips. Thank you.
It's a pleasure thanks for watching
I was wondering how I was going to join the binding on sleeve hems in the round, as it's going to be quite tight. Now I know, thank you. The pattern matching tip is very valuable, too.
It's a pleasure, so glad they were helpful to you, good luck with the binding.
The buttonhole is just what I need. I will have to try the bias idea out myself I am not sure did you fold the bias at a right angle from each other?
Thank you so much for the great tips
It's a pleasure I'm so glad you found them useful
Loved this Lucy thank you so much! Really handy to have them all in one place to refer back to! X

It's a pleasure, honestly I wouldn't worry too much, if it's very busy nobody will notice whether it is matched, but at least you know for next time.
Thank you after 50 yr sewing I didn’t know those hacks, so can learn more any day.
Could you show matching princess seams on a dress please
Great tips Lucy. Elastic will be joined that way from now on.
I love all the tips! Do you have any suggestions for easily matching a pocket on a shirt?
Brilliant tips, thank you. As a beginner I found them really helpful. You explained it so well too. Great 👍.

Great tips 👏🏻
Great tips! Love the elastic joining and the bias binding!
Inuse a similar hack for the elastic hack. I use fabric under the elastic & zigzag over the join several times.
Thank you Lucy, really great useful tips.
Thank you
Thank you, these are brilliant - signed up for your newsletter, and saved this video in my sewing watch again list, I'll definitely use these. Especially the bias binding, game changer!
