How hot is it in your country and which product would you want to buy? Let us know! ☀💦
It's hot as shit guys
thankfully its autumn now so its not as bad as it used to be but we were getting upwards of 30-40C this year.
It's been 30°c here in Canada and we need Mr.Freeze from Batman to cool off the planet
we got a hot humid summer. out of the summer from June until today we have 60 days of hot or hot and humid days
I'm with Chris an air con is smart
>100F and normally 90%-100% humidity... sometimes I just have to accept the heat and die
Chris and Emma being chaotic siblings less than 5 mins in...
@Catty no not in the litteral sense. However Chris is dating Sharla in Japan. Emma is single I believe.
When the three ladies were preparing homemade chocolate gifts for Chris in a previous video, she sent him some erotica chocolate, openly asking if he was a 'butt man' or a 'breasts man.' He got the butt and he complained he broke a tooth trying to bite into it.
Sharla also sent him a chocolate gift and she was the only one who was complimented by Chris. Of course.
@Catty /r/whoosh and also, no. They are neither siblings nor together. They simply give off sibling energy
😂 that is exactly their energy
targayens eh?
My favourite thing in the summer is the affable Chris Broad
My guess is that you need to wet that cooling hood thing first.
My favourite was Emma. She's the coolest xD
It's hilarious to me how there are so many ocular menthol delivery systems in Japan (re: Emma's eyedrops). Poor Chris and the incessant burning.
Cooling body wipes are great, though. That kind of product is great to have for camping.
Item #8 all day everyday
Love the videos with Chris and Emma! Such a sibling vibe from them!!
"I hate hot weather Japan"
Both wearing black t-shirts xD
Adam savage built an refrigerated suit and if i ever get some time i’m gonna make one as well
Chris looked like Fred from Scooby Doo.
Emma those knife earrings are 🔥 where are they from?
*Laughs in American Air conditioning*
Yes! 🙌 More sibling energy from Tokidoki Emma and affable Chris. Always a fun video with these two!!
Very true, these two always put a smile on my face. 😊
Am I the only one that finds it hilarious that Emma is wearing an anti-violence DARE shirt paired with knife 🔪 earrings?
A ✨fashion icon✨
Was a DARE a program not only in the USA or was it in Australia too?
@@MagnusWolf It was in a lot of countries, including Brasil (P.R.O.E.R.D), bizarre
I like how Chris has reached peak affable so much that he now shows up in nearly everywhere almost as if everytime a camera in japan gets turned on he just pops into existence next to it.
And when he shows up, he introduces himself as “I am RUclipsr”
I really enjoy the banter between Emma and Chris - they have great chemistry on camera and even when ripping on each other, it's fun and lighthearted. I Would love to see this duo make more videos for product reviews, or even reviews about anything and everything around japan! A livestream event like when Chris and Connor go out, would be really fun!
Thank you both for the great content and as always, I'm looking forward to the next video!
I love that this was filmed in Sharla and Ushka's new inn! It's so fun that everyone is friends with each other
The fabric in the poncho/cape thing is supposed to run under the tap and then well rung out. I'm an MS patient and these are used at the hospital to help keep patients cool. They work very well if you ring them out properly.
Love when these two host together. They are so funny. 😆
Connor and Sydney and Emma and Chris both produce sibling energy
The cooling poncho is supposed to be damp/wet like the scarf. I have a cooling towel that's made from the same material and it does work...you just kind of have to sit in front of a fan as well...lol.
But I do think the cooling towel fabric keeps you cooler longer then just a hand towel soaked in water.
I can’t believe I just watched Chris Broad experience the same pain women do when the sticky side of a panty liner catches a pube.
Next level pain ( ・ᴗ・̥̥̥ )
Chris lied! He bought those electrolyte tablets on his charity bike ride with Connor and did, in fact, eat them again. He didn't mention he learned of them from a TC video shoot
haha stellar observation!
Totally busted!! What a liar!
This video was filmed before the charity bike ride ;)
Uso de aru
@@DanielandYuka Yeah, Chris lied when he said "I won't be eating them again", because he ate them later on when he did the bike ride, after this TC shoot.
Emma, Where did you get the DARE shirt?!!! I’m a teacher in California! Yay! Go Emma!
I had flashbacks to my child hood when I saw that shirt 🤣🤣🤣
I feel like Emma's accent comes out more when she's with Chris. Like the Aussie comes out more to differ with the Brit.
Hey I recognise that wall and the neon Neko Neko blue glow! Glad to see another video from Neko Neko Inn! The tablets are actually pretty good for rehydration during live-streaming in the hot Japanese summer! Japanese deodorant is pretty meh as they're mainly deodorant perhaps because Japanese don't sweat as much as foreigners and not as good compared to Australian Antiperspirant! The cooling Poncho looked hilarious - Assassin's Creed vibes! Pocari Sweat is a staple drink during summer, Aquarius is less sweet and also recommended - Great video @Tokyo Creative @Abroad in Japan @Tokidoki Traveller 😻
Omg I never noticed! That’s really cool, will be booking a stay there after seeing Sharla’s video when Japan opens up!
@@AmazinglyAwkward we stayed there and made a video about it :) it was amazing!
@@DanielandYuka oh awesome! I’ll check it out!
The fact that Emma is wearing the exact DARE shirt they used to give us in middle school in the US after we completed the anti-drug education day is killing me, I really want to know where she got it! I was not expecting that. 😂🤣💀
Exactly what I was wondering. I still have my D.A.R.E frisby that came in the little bag of stuff they give you in middle school. Wouldn't be surprised if the sell this kind of thing at hot topic or spencers these days.
They still give those shirts out in places and D.A.R.E still exists, still giving an unrealistic message on drug use.
@@ashakydd1 Yeah I learned once I became an adult that they really weren't doing that well in that regard. Kind of a crappy program but it sure was kinda fun when I was a kid, but mostly just because I didn't have to be in regular class when we had someone from DARE come in.
I…. Still dont know…. what the acronym for d.a.r.e is supposed to be….😅
Suddenly I'm very jealous that Chris knows what the meadows/fields of Narnia smell like.
I wish more countries would normalize these devices, I used a similar electric hand fan here outside because it was almost 40 degrees and our trams don't have air conditioning so everyone is literally melting, and i got called a sissy or pussy for using one by some random dude i didn't even know. Like ok you go sweat for 40 mins and smell like a pig before you arrive to your destination, imma be a sissy and stay cool because our country doesn't provide. Some people are so fragile and against technology
Lol he's just mad he didn't think of using one earlier
The same people who think that using an umbrella when it's raining is for weaklings. You can keep that mindset, and I'll keep my comfortability, random person.
That’s so insensative specially that comment coming from a total stranger. What an audacity. I agree with you. These devices are also not main stream in my country but I used a lot in Thailand.
I didn’t realized that they were at sharla’s Airbnb till the end. 😅
Same, gave me an "Am I dumb?" moment.
The cooling towels are amazing when rinsed with water and wrung out. Dont have a cape one but little rectangular ones. Massive help in the UK heat wave
that cooling poncho and tie are made of a material where you need to soak and then wring out the water to get the cooling effect, i have a couple towel versions and they are bloody cold when used correctly
Chris has lost so much weight!
Pocari Sweat needs to be more well known. They're far better than Gatorade tbh.
Honest to god though, I would buy an entire case in a heartbeat if I saw it in stores here.
@@TopAnimeLoverEver I get that the taste isn't as appealing as whatever sugar-filled concoction Gatorade and other "sports" drinks have, but it's at least less unhealthy.
I've used most of the products they showed here. I still have the gatsby deo. It's really refreshing if you put it on your armpits. The gatsby wipes really helps when you're outside and sweating. Instead of the eye mask, i've used the one you place on your forehead. It's great when you're sick or it's really hot in the house.
The two of them are just adorable together. Like a rambunctious but truly-fond-of-each-other brother and sister, I love how Emma can stand up to Chris’ affable “snarkiness” and how he’s letting his guard down more and more around her. Just great chemistry.
Love Emma's DARE shirt. Damn that brings back memories from longer ago than I wish to think about :P
I think you need to wet cooling towels, so that poncho probably needs to be soaked in some cool water first.
Oh, Pocari Sweat is the nectar of gods! I’ve been addicted to that stuff since 2010 when I first tasted it in Tokyo after seeing ads with Takeshi Kitano. Too bad it’s only available here in Finland as super expensive Japan import or need to order the powder from Amazon etc.
Surprised Chris didn’t like the Cinnamoroll wipes, considering how many Cinnamoroll plushies he owns.
**Abroad in a Fan!**
Japanese *new* Summer product of the century!
Unfold your traditional Japanese fan to behold a startling image of Chris's face.
Or perhaps: a little figure of Chris rattling around a hollow, clear handle of an electric hand fan 🤔
(Or hanging on for dear life onto one of the fan blades XD)
(Sorry I already commented but I just thought of that 😅 )
I wish you had posted this in July! The Osaka heat and humidity has been brutal!
Yeah this video seems a bit late? Anywhere in June-August this would have been nice, now it's cooling down over here.
I love Pocari Sweat!! I can find it here in the US at Asian supermarkets and on Amazon
Chris looked like a flight attendant with that cooling tie 🤣🤣✈🧳
This is the first time I've seen Ironmouse turn down anything related to Cinnamonroll
Here in Qld Australia I sleep with a cold pack (the kind you can heat up or freeze) it’s reusable and amazing to cool your neck at night
Chris: Have you tried to put your mask in water?
CIA: Yes...yes we have.
the poncho might actually work as uv protection; there are uv protection tshirts and the likes that really work; theyre not really meant to cool you down afaik though
It was meant to be dampened. It then evaporates to cool in addition to the opacity making it a good UV cover. I have the same material as a towel and it's similar to a bathing suit in how readily it evaporates off water
Yes I have uv protection jacket
The wet scarf/tie is such a small and pitiful size of the ones I've seen and sold living in Orlando. There's full on towels that, I guess they just have something in them that as long as they are wet they stay cold longer than a towel that will just get warm with your body heat and the sun quicker? IDK the tech but I have met people who say it's one of the best things in the Florida summer heat.
It sounds like there's an adhesive side to the underarm pads and Chris put it on with the adhesive against his skin/hair. That would be backwards. Adhesive would go against the shirt and absorbant side against your skin.
Trying to apply them while wearing the shirt was probably not the best idea. Sounded painful XD
Chris is lookin good after that cycle! What a fun video!
I love the contrast between the Aussie and the Pommy energy. Clearly, we’re more suited to the heat in Australia.
The tie thing was hilarious! Very dapper on the affable man, literal drip! 😁
With the tie Chris looks French, while Emma looks like she is from a punk band
I'm laughing at the tie because I had a similar cooling collar for my dog, even had the same colour. But I mean if it works, why not.
Those eye cooling gel things are basically an eye version of the gel patches they sell for when kids have a fever. Just buy the ones for fever and they don't have any ingredients that can burn your skin.
The poncho is a costume of a beggar in a medieval times set show 😳
You're at Neko Neko Inn! I love that!
Man the D.A.R.E shirt felt so nostalgic
Right? Tell me you were a 90s kid w/I telling me you are a 90s kid.
Chris getting those bicep gains i see.
My Japanese teacher at college was drinking what looked like an energy jelly. Very excited I asked where she got it, because I miss those, only to see it was written in all English, and was electrolyte water. I said "oh, I thought it was energy jelly" and she had NO IDEA WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT ಥ﹏ಥ The painnnn. What are they actually called? Did I call it wrong because Chris calls them wrong? Or did she just not know about them for some reason?
Anyway, these products all seem... useless. Except maybe the wipes and that spray. Fun video though! Always love seeing you two together, such a fun combo 😂
isnt it dr jelly or something
At 7:30 you can see a hobbit trying to disguise himself form the forces of Mordor.
Wonder where Chris went....👀
"it smells like the meadows of Narnia" and "Shit out of Ten"
That @abroadinjapan wins again
Those cinnamaroll wipes most w been Chris’s choice I hear he’s a big fan… 🐭
I'm surprised you didn't do a "finale" of sorts where you tried all of the products at the same time to see how well the effectiveness stacks...
Anyways, I think that the two products I liked the most were the battery-powered hand fan and the poncho. I'm assuming that the poncho is meant to be dampened before you use it, but if the fabric is thin enough, I think it would work as-is simply to keep the sunlight off of your skin. For people like me who are sensitive to sunlight (in my case, melanoma), a poncho like that is more convenient than constantly using SPF 100 sunblock. As far as the battery fans, the main reason I liked those was the shape. You mentioned at the beginning of the video just using an umbrella for shade. The shape of those fans, I bet you could sew some straps or something into the underside of the umbrella, and stick two or three of those fans in it to keep you cool rather easily with cross-directional air-flow. If they're rechargeable rather than using double-A batteries or something, then the end result would be rather convenient.
for the arm pit pads... does the adhesive side go on the skin? or to attach to the shirt? I would think shirt side since you do this before you wear the shirt/blouse.
They attach to the shirt. They sell them here in the states
Definitely, sticky side to shirt, the adhesive won't absorb anything. hehe
Cinnamon roll is the name of the Sanrio character, not the name of the wipes
Wow, Emma, nice to see you collabing with famous puerto rican IRLtuber Tungsten Rat!
PS: I'm sorry, Chris.
I think you're supposed to stick the underarm pads to your clothes not your actual armpit.
Thought Chris would be all over those Cinnamaroll wipes, cuz, you know..
From Queensland Australia getting ready our summer and humidity. I will pop into Dasio for some of these.
I love seeing your coop streams, and the mist and wipes seem like nice products to try out.
I love that we can get Pocari sweat shipped in the US for a reasonable price
Where cause I wanna try it
those earrings are excellent
Do you know that Canned Pocari Sweat taste better because it has Vitamin C in it?
Somehow Vitamin C cannot be put inside transparent bottle
I'm a simple man. When I see Emma and Chris on a video together, I like it.
You have to put the ponco in the frigde for it to work😂
The cold pillow would work better if you placed it inside an actual pillow. I've also seen a variation of the neck tie except it wasn't a tie, rather a spongy material that still went around your neck and into your shirt. It would keep you cool, but its more for hikes and outdoor activities where you would be sweating either way so you wouldn't worry about getting wet.
Emma and Chris again!!! At least this brighten up my week after a sad passing of the Queen.
Both events brighten my week.
@Dane Butters understandable is they're Irish, or Scottish, or Welsh or Indian or...
Love the D.A.R.E. shirt!
I love Pocari Sweat. The times it saved me from the hot and humid weather in NYC!! Its a life saver to me. It doesn’t taste salty to me at all. It has a nice subtle lemon flavor to me. I also love the electrolyte jelly drink too. That stuff really helped me after being out in the sun for 3 hours during the Pride parade in NYC. Bless the Japanese mini stores on 6th ave near 11th street for having those items.
Oh, the things people do to stay cool. Also, the pads for armpits, used to be a thing, and they were reusable. They would like snap into your jacket, so you could take them out and wash them.
17:09 Emma's face when they throw her the bag. Priceless.
Those cool pillows are amazing if you suffer from migraines!
Pocari Sweat is the favourite for me.
I’ll be there in july, so I appreciate this!
This was great, and Look at Chris! That definition is forming in those arms! Keep up the good work y'all!
It gets unbearably hot here in the Philippines every summer and I'd love to try the stuff featured here (that has good ratings). I think the wipes and mist would be nice seeing your reactions to them. On the other hand, I'd probably be able to use the eye mask and pillow when needing to sleep and it's too hot XD.
The best cooling products shown here in my opinion are: pocari sweat, the uchiwa fan, and the cooling mist spray.
but as someone who was born and raised in a tropical country, the best cooling hacks I've proven and tested are:
1. keep ice cold water in an insulated bottle and drink often
2. keep a fan on you
3. stay in the shade and bring an umbrella with uv protection if you have to walk in the sun
4. wear loose-fitting and light-colored clothing
Y'all nailed the intro, best one yet
I've a bad enough time with 80-100% humidity in 25-35C heat here in Ireland. Can't imagine being even remotely comfortable in Japan.
In America in NY the humidity can get that high and temperature too. AC on 24/7 from June till September and this year November
How to beat the summer heat! *posted at the end of summer about to be winter
pocari sweat, the nectar of god (flash)
You and your DARE shirt lol
Algum brasileiro aí tinha noção que o leão da Proerd era kibado da gringa?
Oh my God I’ve got her shirt. I’d be willing to sell it. Size large. Vintage.
I have that fan! It’s really handy. Use it to keep my old big screen projector from getting overheated 🤣
just fyi: a wet mask serves no (medical) purpose :) the filter is rendered ineffective
Keep doing these random product reviews and candy unboxings ^^
Summers in Texas are usually around 40c with 65%+ humidity. I love Pocari Sweat for summers and using the small hand towel that Japanese carry to wipe sweat away.
These two are your comedy all-stars
