Wow! That’s amazing, I wish it was hot like that here too 😂☀️ So nice you have your own compost :) I already put them up and I did it all by myself. YES they are heavy!! 😅😅 It counted as my workout for the day haha Thank you so much for the comment, I hope you’re having a great evening
Is it ok if there's some debris, like little pieces of wood, in your potting mix? I think I'll use your link to get a leaf planter. Gotta support the smaller RUclipsrs who are doing a good job.☺
Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate the support 💚 Yes, a little wood it should be ok! As long is labeled as "potting soil", not Garden soil or raised bed soil. Those tend to be too heavy and don't do well in the planter.
I’ve been googling my butt off but can’t seem to find more info on how to get bags of compost from the Queens Botanical Garden. Is it a weekly event I can attend and just pick a bag up or do I need to request it before hand? Love watching and learning from you!
You actually have to sign up for the news letters to get notified about the compost events. It only happens seasonally and the last event was on February 27th (That’s when I picked up mine) Here’s the link to sign up for the newsletter: visitor.r20.constantcontact.com/manage/optin?v=001_Ke66uLjz75jWC0zOWaER3-UJ-YEST3pNy9V6Yze6hytTKjOCnQQ6qAO4FHInsX7xgyjcBkRoEbdzc8UZfZcCC_YXsNMEMFZOf2xGU_-QUUGbv34yxFiykva3cljvBxG_ZQRetmcOmldgio7LdtIFg%3D%3D And they also always post updates on their instagram @qbgcompost instagram.com/qbgcompost?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= I also have a video about the first event I attended from them last year in early March: ruclips.net/video/NSLE4WRDcqQ/видео.html Hope it’s helpful! But that’s how I get all my info from them :)
My friend Avalon that also gardens here in Queens and has a youtube channel @nurseinthegarden filmed a video of the day we went to pick up ours last month. We went on the same day at the same time slot. Here’s a link to her video too: ruclips.net/video/nQTW1hecBzc/видео.html
