    Great tips! So far basil and lemon balm are the best performers for me 👊🏻🌻👊🏻

      Yes those do well! I think my personal favorite are all the greens and tomatoes! It's funny how different people have different plants and veggies that do better for them. I wonder if its the climate or potting mix that is used. One lady says she grows a lot of eggplant! I grew a lot of cucumbers, squash and zucchini summer. Last season I did beans and those did great too!
      Happy Gardening!🥰

    Hey guys! RUclips has glitched and deleted every comment that I have made to all of my viewers and every other channel I have watched. Just didn't want you guys to think I don't respond. Only the comments from today are showing! Love you guys! Have a great day!

    Wonderful information!! I really needed it as my daughter gave me a "Leaf" for Christmas. However, your background music is WAY TO LOUD!!! Glad I could go back and listen again.

    Ordered my first one last week during sale.. Thanks for the tips. My biggest issue will be keeping the gazillion ground squirrels and chipmunks from eating everything. Second the harsh sun here when temps get into the high 90’s and 100’s. I wish GS make a shade cloth cover like they do insect covers.

      Hey Violet! 😀 First, I am super happy for you that you have ordered a GreenStalk! 🥰Have you actually received it yet?
      If you don't mind answering this, I see that you watched the Top Tips video. Did you see that there was an updated version? I put that in the description box because some people had issues with the music being too loud. The updated one does NOT have the music. It was a work in progress because it was not loud at all in my software and so there was no way to tell it was going to be so loud. Just curious to see what you thought.
      I have squirrels but mostly chipmunks. I show them at times in my videos. I am hoping because they have an endless supply of birdseed that they won't eat my veggies too! We shall see.
      You may not have seen my more recent videos, but my GreenStalks are now on a second patio that I had made so my cats could have the catio back. My shade is gone now, plus the protection from strong wind and storms and it's more exposed to critters of all sorts. I too am waiting to see what the results will be this season. We have gotten up to 108 here and I know those days will be upon us soon. I am going to try and rig something and hang it between 2 posts and see if that blocks some of the sun. I will have to turn the greenstalks more frequently too just so they don't burn.
      Right this minute while I am responding to you, I am in the middle of a severe storm that came out of nowhere and my GreenStalks are full of life and taking a beating. I am not sure they will make it. I have 6 on that patio and one in the driveway right now.
      Is there a way you can rig something to hang it so that at least one side gets shade and then you can turn it? Roll it up near the house when it gets later in the afternoon with the severe heat? Even hanging a cloth or blanket nearby or putting a board up against something in the right spot can add a wall of shade for at least parts of the day. 2 tposts with something attached to both? I don't know what your set up is so I am just grasping at straws. 🤔
      If my experiment from my video that I am putting out tomorrow works, that should help deter chipmunks and squirrels at least a little. 😀
      I am so glad you found my channel Violet. 🤗Thanks for chiming in and I hope you have a peaceful night and pleasant day tomorrow! Lolly ❤️

      @@morninggloryfarmstead Nope, haven’t gotten it yet. Got email that it shipped this morning. I live in High Desert. Have gazillion ground squirrels and chipmunks and with dry hot climate in the summer, they eat everything. My plan is to put the GS on the patio during the day when my dogs can guard to keep the critters away and wheel them into the garage at night when the dogs are in the house. IDK how that will go. I may purchase the insect cover to cut back on the sun if things seem to be going ok, but the critters a big hurdle that i have not yet overcome to grow anything edible outside in all the years I’ve lived here. I did not watch the other video but will watch tomorrow. Thx.

      Sounds like you have a great plan in place. 😀All we can do is experiment and see how it goes. Boy I hope this works because that would be awesome to finally be able to successfully grow some food! ❤️🥰Lolly

    Hi Lolly (or Lollie?) 🤔
    Thx for this vid. I bought some green stalk almost a yr ago (Spring '22) and have enjoyed them. I'd been trying to figure out best seed placement. I've looked on GS website but their info is more about basic usage. I have the supports but didn't really need them last yr bc my "Vining" seeds didn't really produce. I just keep 'em stored in their bags.
    I just ordered some addl leaf towers (bc I wanted 7 tier) & more seed allocation spacing. But now I'm wondering... about the original and which seeds have root depth needs...or how much of a factor that root depth difference might make (?)

    Just found your channel after looking for everything greenstalk. I've watched a few videos but sadly have not subscribed or able to watch more due to your music being so load I have to lower the volume ( then I can't hear you). I have read other comments with this same concern. I'll pop in every once in awhile hopefully the music issue doesn't exist. I think you have alot of knowledge but I can't deal with loud music.

    • @morninggloryfarmstead
      @morninggloryfarmstead  Год назад

      Hey Bev! 🥰I responded to all of those comments but there was a glitch and RUclips deleted my channel and when I got it back, every comment or response that I had made over a several month period was gone! Once I heard those comments, I tried to implement changes. It is something with the settings on my Macbook pro. I have asked people in my personal life to give me feedback and I am hearing that the newer ones are not loud. I have completely changed how I do the music and do very little music while I am talking now. I do have music, but everything is turned down and again, not much while talking. I totally understand and I appreciated the feedback because it did not sound like that at all on my end. I would not listen to a channel that was like that all the time either because it would give me a headache! I addressed all of those comments as soon as they were made. I hope that if you stop by again, the newer videos will offer a more pleasant experience for you.🙂 I hope you have a wonderful weekend coming up! Lolly ❤️

      Hey Bridget!😃 That's awesome! You can't go wrong with the original because you can do leafy greens or veggies with roots! Have you thought about what your favorite foods are to eat? This is exciting!🥳 Thanks for spending a few minutes of your day with me! Lolly❤️

      @@morninggloryfarmstead - Hi Lolly, I want to do some lettuces and maybe herbs, and ?? Do you have any suggestions for something that works well? I live in Oregon and don’t get the best sun. Thanks!

    • @morninggloryfarmstead
      @morninggloryfarmstead  Год назад +1

      Hey Bridget! 😃 I am so sorry for the delay! I just saw this! You are spot on with greens and herbs because of maybe not getting enough sun. On my front porch I did a kitchen garden because of the partial shade and all of it is doing well. My favorite is Landis Winter lettuce. It is really thriving there. My herbs are doing so well that my daughter came over to raid some!🥳 The collards and kale did well too. If you have a little bit of a cooler climate and you have partial shade, maybe try chijimisai. I get mine from Baker Creek and it's one my favorites. It's a brassica that most people think is spinach. I hope you have some fun with this! 🥰 Lolly ❤️
