Great interview once again Kent and Rex. The only band I knew that PJ was in was Grammatrain. I'll have to check out the other bands he was a part of. I also went to Pj's website and looked at what is available on cd. What I've heard I really like. Kent and rex, keep up the great work you guys are doing. Jerry Elder
Thanks for watching PJ's episode, Jerry; we are appreciative! I enjoyed Paragon from the 80's, and I'm really diggin' PJ's solo albums as released from his website. Recently, he absolutely nailed drumming live with Trytan at Immortal Fest '24 (from the footage I've seen). Add to his resume Bloodgood, Grammatrain and One Bad Pig... PJ is a master at his craft! Wishing you The Lord's continued blessings, Jerry! -Kent
Great interview Rex and Kent and all the guests. Thank you PJ for sharing about your musical career. I’m looking forward to the new album…hopefully very soon. It would be great if a record label would get behind this talented musician and release his past albums that are out of print. Maybe even do some vinyl for us 50 something’s. Lol.
Ken! Always good to hear from you, brother! Yes, hopefully a label will get behind PJ to re-release the Paragon material plus his out-of-print solo albums (his freshman and sophomore releases). PJ is such an amazing talent at a myriad of instruments. It was a privilege to interview him. Thanks again for watching and commenting, Ken; we are grateful! Blessings! -Kent
People can hate on rock/metal and their musicians all they want, but metal and rock music has survived and is still marching on, but grunge is gone. Rock and metal came and went and came back again and stayed. A dinosaur will always stomp out an ear sore. History is testimony. God bless and Metal on! (I still have Grammatrain’s second album. Quality stuff!)
Thank you for watching PJ's episode and for commenting. We are grateful! Indeed, rock and metal have, thankfully, survived! I fully realize that beauty is in the eye - and ear - of the beholder. I've simply never understood grunge as it was oft lyrically depressing, plus the instrument proficiency was not on par with the rock and metal genres which preceded it. With absolutely no ill-will meant toward those who appreciate grunge, I am simply thankful that the wonderful bands of rock, hard rock and metal have returned over the past several years (Stryper, Saint, The Brave, Fear Not, Reign of Glory, etc... coming to mind). Wishing you The Lord's continued blessings! -Kent
Great discussion. PJ.’s comments at around 25:44 I appreciated. In a time with the disappointment of the Deconstruction and Exvangelical talk it does not negate what GOD has done or could still do with those individuals when they are restored or return. Let’s not give up.
Thank you for watching; we are grateful! Indeed, The LORD moves with a mighty hand, and His mercies are new every morning. May we run toward our Good Shepherd and not away from the One who genuinely loves us. Blessings! -Kent
Love it Guys!!! So good!!! What an amazing crew of awesome dudes! Love you all, thank the Lord for you all and appreciate you all! Great job guys, Lord bless! I look forward to connecting with y’all soon. Psalm 27:13, Romans 8:32
Hey, Pastor Lary! Thanks for watching! You know we love you! PJ is awesome - as you well know - and I am so stoked that you, PJ and Jim are out there crushing it with the killer tunes and Christ's Good News! Wishing you all The Lord's continued blessings! -Kent
Cool interview! When I saw PJ's pic on facebook on one of your advertisements of the upcoming episode schedule you created and saw one of the bands he was involved in which was Bloodgood, I remembered or was thinking he was the same drummer that was on the In the Trenches documentary I have on bluray, which I viewed twice since getting it in 2019 or 2020. Being a huge fan of Bloodgood, I vaguely remembered they went through a few musician changes in the early 90s and that PJ was involved to some capacity. Hopefully PJ can lend his talent to an up coming Les Carlson album on the whole album or at least a couple or few songs on drums and perhaps guitar. I also share the sentiment on Lary Dean - he has counseled me before and that man is on fire. Such a genuine man of God. I talk to him from time to time. A good while ago we mentioned on getting together again which haven't happened yet but hopefully it will. Nice to see Doug, Jeff and Darth on the episode as well. Keep the videos coming guys! I appreciate you all!
Hi, Michael! Thanks for watching, brother! Indeed, PJ was Bloodgood's drummer during the recording of the live album, "To Germany With Love". His solo albums are in the vein of Rush, musically, and are just as incredible lyrically. From the Immortal Fest 2024 footage I've seen, PJ absolutely nailed it while performing with Trytan. As well, he has drummed with Paragon, Grammatrain and One Bad Pig. To sum up his career: PJ rocks! Blessings! -Kent
Good spiritual discussion in this interview. "Keep the main thing the main thing." In reality music is not the main thing is it? Its great to listen to super talented guys like PJ, but we worship the Creator not the creation. Paragon was a cool band, way better live than on recordings. It's good to hear that PJ is still going strong in his ministry to those of us who cant play a tune but can really appreciate a good tune. God bless you all. 😊
Indeed, we will always "keep the main thing the main thing": "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." -James 1:17. We are extremely grateful for the Father's gift of music given to us - a creation gifted to us by the Creator, plus a desire in us to be creative as a creation crafted in the Creator's image (Genesis 1: 26). Yet, the gift of music - as great as it is - does not compare to the gift of salvation found only in Yeshua HaMashiach - Jesus the Christ. We wish to honor The Lord and His Word in each and every interview. And we know that "The word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." -Hebrews 4: 12. When we share God's Word, even briefly, volumes are then spoken - louder than any Marshall or Mesa Boogie amp! And we wish for our viewers to know that God loves them, and that genuine hope, light and life are found only in Christ: "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." -Romans 5: 8 Thank you for watching, commenting and for your kind words. Wishing you The Lord's continued blessings, and may The Lord be glorified! -Kent

PJ is awesome and mega-talented! I dig his music, and I greatly appreciate his heart for The Lord! Thank you for watching and commenting! -Kent

…meaning Grunge is snobby toward metal music but Metal has withstood the blows of time and temperance and it’s only forged it to be stronger.
