Mr. Moore, your videos are excellent, on your main channel and here. I am never surprised by how little I know even about American uniforms and equipment in Vietnam. And as a burgeoning commonwealth re-enactor in the US, your channel has been in extremely invaluable resource on my journey. I am always excited for your uploads as I never know what to expect or what I will learn. I also took way to long to notice your change of polo color... Spectacular work as always
think I have 3 different versions of the 604 Air Force pouches , the stinky oil one , the vinyl covered canvas and I think one other version but I forget what the material it is made from , they held the early Waffle Magazines
If you have chance to dig out the third type I'd be interested to know what it's made of, I'm only aware of the vinyl and oil cloth at the moment. I'd like to find a pair of the vinyl type at some point!

Interesting indeed! I have never seen those USAF M16 mag pouches, or any reference to them.
There are a few photos of them in use in Vietnam, generally with M-1956 belts and suspenders.
Nice finds, especially the 2 quart canteen/cover.
I love this kind of stuff, like to know where to look
