    Can anyone tell me why these motors " surge " like that ? Because of the blower OR just built to the hilt.

      Lots of factors go into it but it basically boils down to the cam that is used in the build. That "surge" you hear is called lope. That is increased or decreased based on the lift and duration of the camshaft that is used.

      That's pretty much it. A full blown drag race motor is designed to make almost all it's power near redline. They have almost nothing at low rpm. A motor like that would be undriveable on the street. Drag racing is done at full throttle. Cops wouldn't like it if you did that on the street.
