I just started reading your book, Nana's World. I love the story. I am at home recovering from my second knee replacement this year. My husband and I have 6 rescued, fixed cats. Nala reminds me of our 12 year old Spice cat. Thank you for the great story.

I always wondered - has he ever been fined (in any country) for driving with the cat in his lap and without saet belt? You can't even have cat or dog in your car if you don't have safety net between driver's seat and the back side, or cat (dog) carrier and there's a reason for it.

Hi Dean, keen follower from NZ here. I had exactly the same VW camper & travelled Europe for 6 months in the early 80s. Although a good wee bus, I had problems with the sliding door after a while & I think it was probably because I was slamming it shut & didn't lubricate the door tracks as much as I should have. The door eventually fell off in (then) Yugoslavia somewhere & we had to sell it very cheaply. Just a word to look after the door, it brought back memories when I saw you slam it shut in this vid...

Be careful going into ponds/ streams. I can’t go in water like this. Make sure you have no open cuts, scratches etc. Best not to put your head under water too. This is how that flesh eating bacteria gets In body & has killed quite a few people in the past. I know you’re careful though. ☺️
It's so cute to see Nala perched on your arm so she has a good viewpoint out the window while you are driving. Dean, your arm must be getting very strong from holding Nala up in the air. Funny seeing you trying to wake Nala up to move out of the driver's seat. I worried as you were walking on that old wooden sidewalk by the water. There were many areas of wood planks missing. Beautiful scenery.

Be careful going into ponds/ streams. I can’t go in water like this. Make sure you have no open cuts, scratches etc. Best not to put your head under water too. This is how that flesh eating bacteria gets In body & has killed quite a few people in the past. I know you’re careful though. ☺️

It's so cute to see Nala perched on your arm so she has a good viewpoint out the window while you are driving. Dean, your arm must be getting very strong from holding Nala up in the air. Funny seeing you trying to wake Nala up to move out of the driver's seat. I worried as you were walking on that old wooden sidewalk by the water. There were many areas of wood planks missing. Beautiful scenery.
