Thanks for bringing to us compelling stories such as hers. She is doing huge service by letting her story out so that she can be a source of inspiration to many more out there who are stuck in relationships that bring irreparable damage to their lives. Its tough to imagine what she would have endured over the years to finally take a stance and start her life afresh. As a host, it would have been helpful if you could have asked her some follow-up questions which would have helped the listener get better insight into her frame of mind and how she finally mustered the courage to take the big step. Its not only her story but could be a story for many others.

Very interesting talk I lost my entire night listening to her and she is correct that stand must be taken first and mostly about our horrible judicial system and in such situations the Islamic way of Marriage n Divorce or Quala “ separation by wife” is million times better and faster .
There is nothing about being strong in her situation, rather it is being very weak . First time a woman is abused physically in the relationship she should get out immediately. This woman is educated and has supportive parents, she could have taken a stand for herself and for the sake of her children. There is something called counselling! She is abused verbally emotionally and physically again and again knowing he is drug addict staying in the same situation is not being strong, it’s weakness.
