      Appreciation on size is a big thing; and it should be I think. So many koi over 80cm go downhill fast

    Really enjoyed the show this year!!! It is awesome to see all the unique fish featured in the show!!
    On a sidenote, the dialogue is super quiet and then the music in the video is super loud. Just an editing fix, but thought you should know.

    Lovely koi in that selection, its very well set out and organised, bet you could put a laser line down them blue holding tanks they look so straight, must cost a fair bit setting up etc ATB phil pace 😀

    Are those koi kept out of sight or would you have possibly seen them on a visit to a breeder?

      Yes it’s open to the public. Usually the last weekend in Jan of 1st weekend in Feb. In Tokyo

    So why are their heads smaller?
    What is that (humpback) bump- what causes that. Is is fat from accelerated growth?
    I’ve never seen a koi that has that.

      On the big Sanke I think it had a small head. The hump is a body style. You see it often on the monster Koi here, especially on Dainichi Koi.
