Thanks for your footage Tim, stunning koi as always and you are so right saying how you must have the appreciation for the quality and the size. Majestic Koi and rightly the best in the world.
Really enjoyed the show this year!!! It is awesome to see all the unique fish featured in the show!! On a sidenote, the dialogue is super quiet and then the music in the video is super loud. Just an editing fix, but thought you should know.
Lovely koi in that selection, its very well set out and organised, bet you could put a laser line down them blue holding tanks they look so straight, must cost a fair bit setting up etc ATB phil pace 😀
I would have any of them in my pond :-) 🐟👍🏻🐟 have you ever sold a koi tim and thought that would make it and looked back at them to see how they doing 🐟👍🏻🐟
So why are their heads smaller? What is that (humpback) bump- what causes that. Is is fat from accelerated growth? I’ve never seen a koi that has that.
Well done. Thank you.

Appreciation on size is a big thing; and it should be I think. So many koi over 80cm go downhill fast

Are those koi kept out of sight or would you have possibly seen them on a visit to a breeder?
Yeah we see some of them at the breeders.
Wow Tim
Hi, is this open to the public? I would love to make a trip to Japan and be able to view this first hand.
Yes it’s open to the public. Usually the last weekend in Jan of 1st weekend in Feb. In Tokyo
@@TimWaddington awesome one more question is it expensive for entry?
❤
So why are their heads smaller?
What is that (humpback) bump- what causes that. Is is fat from accelerated growth?
I’ve never seen a koi that has that.
On the big Sanke I think it had a small head. The hump is a body style. You see it often on the monster Koi here, especially on Dainichi Koi.
Is the single coloured metallic koi @15:30 a Ki Kubuto?
Kin Kabuto
is it open for everyone or a member only show?
Everyone, 1000Yen entry
kanoko!
So this GC kohaku was bred by Sakai Fish Farm?
