Thanks for making this video, it's nice to be able to find more videos about things related to the fashion industry.
What is your educational background? Just curious, as I'm looking into a career in fashion & trying to decide on which route to take with education. It seems that everyone takes a slightly different path, doing things in different order, depending on where they live & what types of opportunities are there for them. But did you do a full degree course? Or find some type of shorter, more specific program, like what bakers, jewelry makers, wine masters, mixologists & chefs can go through?
Hey Chloe I'm glad you found this helpful! I went to Academy of Art University and I majored in Fashion Styling. it was 4 years credited university and I have my BFA now, having the degree helps with getting into companies because it's an often requirement but honestly, could I have learned everything from interning and assisting and just working, absolutely. I think it's hard to decide so soon on where your career will go but if you feel better getting that degree just to always have some type of work I say go basic. like major in marketing, journalism, advertising, merchandising. that way it's broader but you can always get a job with a fashion brand.
This video is amazing! good content, it really helped me
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed!
