Great vids to watch & very informative. I got my 1st Lambretta in 1970 Li125 series 3, a year later I got the SX 125, then sold it for the inevitable car days. Over the last 23 years I have had Vespa's, LML's, Scomadi TL200 & various other bikes, so after I retired I promised myself another Lammy, got one last year (Spanish import) Li 150 series 3 Serveta with an SX200 engine, took months to register and finally got to ride in last year twice, now after I have done some bits on it, my mate who is a guru on lambrettas, is stripping it down and fully rebuilding it with all new parts that I have purchased, cant wait for the day she is ready😉
I just watched your vid on the standard li 150 carb My series 1 just started flooding petrol coming out the pin hole above the mixture screw and scooter just stopped and the bowl full of petrol and spark plug dry so I am wondering why the petrol is not going down the inlet into the cylinder should I be looking at the float needle thanks in advance Rushaid Liverpool
I want my series 1 engine rebuilding this winter you got any idea who could help me just put 12 mag on but can’t keep up with the 225 boys lol rushaid Liverpool
There's a few builders that do tuning, I would ask around your area first, you need to get an idea on what performance you need and look at the costs. You maybe better to buy an engine that the work has already been done to it and just bolt it in. MB ,Darrel Turner are some good names as well as AF Rayspeed. Good luck
Yes you do, what I do is put the scooter rear wheel off the floor and run the scooter for half an hour letting it warm up and cool down again then run it in for 800 miles, you need to keep an eye on the spark plug colour as this tells you how the scooter is running.

Float or pin that connects to the float, check function of float by blowing down petrol inlet and holding the float open and close it
@@m1scooterlife259 thanks mate rushaid Liverpool
When I turned the carb upside down it got stuck so a bit of filing and sanding all was good went to donny hunters meet no issues thanks
