  • This is perhaps one of the most overlooked techniques in Krav Maga.
    Rules:
    1. Every weapon has a range it work best at.
    2. It's hard to control the hand when you don't control the body.
    3. Avoid fighting through the 'danger zone'.
    4. Tactics change according to circumstance and the enemy.
    5. Adapt to what's in front of you. Don't force you technique on the situation.

Nice to see an instructor who doesn't peddle uber-confident universal solutions to the knife problem.

After 14 years in prison and both having been involved in knife fights and witnessing many I can tell you this is the best way to deal with an attacker. You're going to almost always get cut so its just a matter of controlling the extent. This is very realistic advice.

Very honest video. No Master Ninja techniques. Just reality and facts . Someone always gets cut in a knife fight,

No it’s complete bollox and if you try to disarm a lunatic with a knife you will probably die.

really appreciate the honestly. There's no flawless technique - at least not all the time. shit happens in real life.
Advice like these, save lives. and not giving people a false sense of security.
Anyone who ever got into fights know how flexible the hand can be. its almost impossible to avoid contact with it, especially with a weapon.
the only thing you can consistently do is trying to minimize the impact, enough for you to walk away and recover.

Hi Ron. I live in TLV and study Arni's Combatives under Jon Escudero. I would be happy to get together to see what works.

The system works well with thicker more leather type clothing, like a leather Jacket. You probably won't get cut on the side then. Your jacket may get ruined, but you win the encounter, by surviving relatively intact. In my opinion, if you can survive being attacked by someone with a knife, without being maimed, or suffering anything but minor injuries, then you "won".

You know its real when he doesnt immediately go on the ground and yooo!!! All fight goes on the ground lmfao. Rule number 1 of self defense, you strike hard and fast and dis-engage. Never go on the ground. He also use Muay thai techniques flawlessly.

Wait, WHAT ?! 99.99% of the attackers WILL NOT HOLD the knife LIKE THIS. They WILL hold the knife the other way and will point the knife AT YOU. 100% of the attackers WILL ACTIVELY SWING THE KNIFE and POKE AT YOU.

That's quite true for male attack. Most likely woman holds knives the way the video shows

the guy is stabbing your kidney the whole time? This is dumb. sorry but it is. your not controlling the weapon or taking control of anything your simply engaging in a wrestling match you will surely lose.

    • @tbfromnc5944
      @tbfromnc5944 6 месяцев назад

in order for the attacker to stab "his kidneys" he needs to have movement in the wrist and power to penetrate the body. If you watched the video till the end, you could see that he slid his gabbing arm to the end of his knife side wrist which stabilized the wrist and prevent from large stabbing motion to happen. He mentioned that you more likely will be cut, but if I had to choose between being cut or being stabbed, I take being cut any day...No technique is perfect but in the case you're facing someone with a knife who intends to kill you, I beg you to find a better way to defend yourself, as long as you don't carry a gun of course...
