OpenCutList is a Cut list and Cutting Diagram Extension for SketchUp.
Open Source, crowdfunded and easy to use 😊
OpenCutList produces cut lists and cutting diagrams for woodworking or similar projects.
By inspecting the components and material properties of a scene, OpenCutList automatically creates a list of parts and cutting diagrams, based on properties of material including the type: Solid Wood, Sheet Goods, Dimensional Lumber or Edge Banding for which you can configure grain direction, trimming sizes, saw kerf width, part oversizes, standard sizes of panels and many more.
OpenCutList helps you easily find parts in your model by highlighting them and indicating the grain direction and the orientation of your components.
OpenCutList handles offcuts and panels of any size and gives the user a fast and efficient way of directly configuring SketchUp material.
Part lists and cutting diagrams can be printed for the shop or exported to a CSV file for further processing. OpenCutList can also import objects from a CSV file.

Excellent ideas! OpenCutList is already a great product, but this will take it to the next level.
This is a FANTASTIC plug-in!!! Now just make it so you can move the labels of the pieces in the printout so they aren't over-lapping each other and WOW!!!

Bonjour, Serait-il possible d’ajouter une option dans la vue éclatée d’OpenCutList pour n’afficher le nom que d’un seul exemplaire d’un composant dupliqué ? Cela éviterait de surcharger l’affichage tout en gardant une identification claire. Par exemple, pour quatre piétements identiques, n’afficher le nom que sur un seul. 🙏

Hi oZil, we understand the request to be able to display all the informations on the diagram, but we prefer to keep it as clear as possible for the cut operation.
Currently the complete edges infos could be displayed on both places that can can follow the cutting diagram and the piece in the workshop :
- in the part list extract that following cutting diagram
- and on printable labels

It will be possible to export each generated view to a new Layout file.
how did you do the screws, all those holes connection?
I think this is one of the best plugins for sketchup , but I do not use it because there could be a lot of problems when you have texture on component and face. For example I put laminate texture on 18mm board faces + edgebanding on 3 sides . Cutlist did not see it until I paind component. So If you put different texture on the face and different on component you can think everything is correct and you will get what you see, it turns out it takes first component material and then face, opposite to sketchup hierarchy.

Yes OpenCutList take in priority the material applied on instance because it permits more flexibility.
As the six base faces with an other material (like edge banding, veneer, painting, etc ...)
Note that in 5.0, the behavior with edge banding materials will be fixed. Only Solid Wood, Sheet Good, Dimensional or Hardware materials will be counted on faces to determine the part material.

I would like to make an extensive request. A request that will make this program very powerful. I’ve been using this lately and I’ve been thinking, can a feature be implemented that would allow us to view more features of each part? For example, slots and routes grooves of each panel. So that I can export a DXF file and send to a CNC? Or is this feature already available?

Since version 6.0 (published in February 2024), you can export :
- 2D Part Projection to DXF and SVG : docs.opencutlist.org/features/parts/export-part-drawing/2d-projection

@@LairduboisFr just watched the 6.0.0 video. Thank you, I didn’t see that. One thing to add. Some of my panels have mitered cuts, and I am unable to see that on the cutting diagram. I tried switching the “front face” and “rear face” setting and it did not work.
@@alessandro4337 mitered cuts are by definition hidden by the 2D projection.

Très bonne idée mais malheureusement, en tant qu’amateur, j’utilise exclusivement la version gratuite de SU. Donc, c’est pas pour moi… pour l’instant 😉. Je précise quand même que j’ai déjà contribué à OCL car je tiens à soutenir le projet. Merci à BB et aux autres contributeurs.
Oui, c'est frustrant de pas pouvoir faire tourner cette fonctionnalité sur SU 2017.

Votre outil est formidable (je pèse mes mots). Mais en tant qu'Amateur (et donc qu'utilisateur occasionnel) je ne peux que me contenter de la version gratuite 2017, et donc hélas, trois fois hélas, je découvre que je n'aurai pas accès à ces nouvelles fonctionnalités !...🥴
Bonsoir @@jeanmichel165, nous en sommes désolé. Le but n'était vraiment pas d'exclure les utilisateurs SU 2017 du game. Mais pour cette fonctionnalité, à partir de SU 2018, on a accès à une technologie qui permet de bien meilleures choses que ça serait dommage de se brider.
Quoi qu'il en soit OCL 5 tournera sur SU 2017 avec d'autres nouveautés. Il n'y aura juste pas cette fonctionnalité de dessin.

Je constate malheureusement que comme toute bonne chose qui fonctionne bien, et qui est gratuite sur la toile, les sirènes du tout payant ne sont jamais bien loin.

@@jeanmichel165 je ne suis pas certain que l'on puisse dire que SU 2017 fonctionne bien ... en 2023.
Les performances générales et surtout pour les extensions ont été très largement améliorées au fil des 6 ans qui ont suivi. De plus SU 2017 a été conçu pour fonctionner avec les systèmes d'exploitations de 2017. 6 ans après, ça marche encore (à 95%), mais il ne faudra pas attendre beaucoup plus pour que ça pose des problèmes de compatibilité avec l'écosystème global.
Par ailleurs, un logiciel reste un outil qui a demandé le travail d'un ensemble de personnes. Je ne suis pas certain que le modèle de la complète gratuité est un réel sens.
Bien entendu Trimble veut faire des sous avec SketchUp, mais je pense aussi qu'ils avaient besoin de "sauver" le produit qui à cause de son modèle n'avait pas les moyens d'évoluer face à sa concurrence. Tout en étant très largement utilisé, le comble.
