The biggest gold nugget of info in this video is the piece of tape on the focus ring. Genius.
I have to ask as well, is the bag homemade or bought? I've been looking to buy one, but haven't seen one with the groove like yours. Great vid!
Thanks John, looks like a good DIY project making one of those.
Beautiful shots Johnny as usual. Great idea!!! WW
Thanks for the tape on the focus ring tip John
Thanks John. Now that I see the shape it makes more sense. I've got some canvas, some beans and I know how to use a a sewing machine. Looks out!
thanks.
Derek
I also find turning the car off helps with reducing vibration from the engine. Depending on which vehicle I'm in that has ruined a few of my shots shooting this way.
You need a Tesla😂
Never thought about the tape tip. Thx!
Great tips, great intro and great vehicle as well! Thanks for sharing this.
great tip! thanks!
Great advice! Thanks
Beautiful photographs...👌👌👌👌
Great tips, John. Would never have thought of the "heat waves from inside the vehicle effecting focus" tip. Very helpful!
Have you seen wolves this year where is the best spot to see them in Banff I’m going there next month to do wildlife photography thanks
Hmm...never thought of the tape trick... great point!! So I've gotta ask; you put the lens on manual focus (add the piece of tape) and then use the camera focusing to do its job?
First thing I did when the video ended was to get up and tape the manual focus ring. Excellent tip, thank you.
+1, thanks
you are right! :-D
Would you use stabilization on or off? Thanks.
Thanks John did not thank about the tape on the focusing ring.
hi, what camera did you use to take these photos and with what lens?
Hello John, where i can get a bag like yours?
Thanks
you can make them yourself ..easy to do
did anyone ever find out what bag this was? I don't have a sewing machine, so I'd like to purchase one.
You figure it out yet
