You did a great job showing and explaining everything. It’s a very nice build at a great price in my mind. When the right person sees this it will be sold!
Would you be interested in doing another conversion? I'm considering a cargo trailer but don't have the skills or the strength to do it alone. I think you could make this your side "gig" because you did such a great job.
I towed it almost coast to coast with my 200,000+ mile Ford Explorer... and it towed smoothly. That being said, I do think it has a bit more tongue weight than it should due to the open garage area in the rear. I tried to counter this by building the bed frame out of steel.
I would like to build another, and we do have plans for something a little bigger with a full bathroom, but plan to wait until material costs come down to something a little more manageable. I think I remember paying around $2ish per stick for a 2x4 during the build. I recently bought some for a small project at $8 per stick. Anyways, thanks, appreciate your positive comments.
Hey, sweet build, awesome job!!! Quick question for you. Did you sell it to someone thru RUclips?? I’m thinking of selling mine but don’t know where to post it 😂
Thanks. Short answer is two dated I phones, but for entertainment purposes, I'll explain a little more. I'm surprised at the positive reaction to the video presentation as I don't exactly live on the cutting edge of recording technology and the final product came about through this ridiculous process: Step 1: Have wife follow me around filming with her I phone 7 while I ramble on about the trailer. Step 2: Take this footage as well as some random pics and import into a basic recording program to cut everything together into a somewhat coherent line of thought. Step 3: Let this sit for about 6 months while I build up the nerve to post. (Not a hardened RUclipsr...wasn't sure I wanted to take excessive criticism from the masses) Final Step: Realize I forgot to mention a few things, and also have some strange repetitive lip-smacking tick that I could no longer listen to, so I put my I phone 6s on the desk in front of my laptop, played the video through on mute while commenting and talking directly into the record function on my phone. Deleted original audio, paste the new one right over the top. Look out, Hollywood.
The dark grey on the back half is Home Depot carpet that has been glued and screwed to the original 1/2" plywood that came with the trailer. Asking 12K, - the trailer has sold.
@@bluegarlic733 I've not got a build currently going, and to be honest, nothing planned. I am currently in my home state of Oregon, but the trailer was built while living in Tennessee. The advantage back east was multiple direct to consumer trailer manufacturers to keep the initial purchase price down by several thousands. Add to that current Home Depot lumber prices and I've just not had the desire to start anything. But I def would like to do another...bigger trailer or van/bus conversion. Thanks!
I ordered off of Amazon: Renogy Solar Panel Roof Drill-Free Corner Bracket Mount for RV, Boats, Corner Bracket, Corner Bracket. Then glued down with Sikaflex 252.
Thanks. The fridge was purchased from a guy in Atlanta that pulls them from long-haul semis. The placard on front said: TRUCKFRIDGE Italian design by IndelB. Hope this helps.
Paranoid??? Seems out of line. Did I forget and leave my foil hat on in the video? Lordy, Lordy, let me just speak to the cause and effect of being overly cautious when - as stated, I've literally had bikes stolen before... Anything you've worked, saved, or sacrificed for. It's a terrible feeling and I'd be willing to bet you'll change your habits the day someone steals something of real value from you. But what do I know, I'm clearly the idiot who didn't weld down his solar panels.
Worth every dime you’re asking. Great build. I’ve done two conversions now and some of your ideas were exactly what I did.
Thanks for checking out my build. I'll have to go see if you've posted video of your conversions.

Thanks so much. And it did sell!

Seems evenly balanced with the weight distribution.

Are you going to build another one? Great job on this one, also great job on the presentation of this video.

Nice presentation. I'll have to step up my game. May I ask what camera and mic you used?

What's your asking price if you don't mind me asking. Great build.
Was asking 12K. The trailer sold last week. And thanks!
Loading bikes is easier with barn doors? Dude, no, it's not a toy hauler it's a utility trailer. But good for you it's sold!
Hey, thanks for making uselessly opinionated passive aggressive comments and ending it all by being completely condescending. Good for you, Dude.
What did you use on the walls, carpet panels? Also how much?

Where did you get the mounts for the solar panels?

What brand is the refrigerator? I am looking for something similar.great build btw. I am going to use a few of your ideas.

What are you asking?
We get it you have expensive bikes
A little paranoid? My gawd, I never lock anything, even leave the key fob in the vehicle. Wait- someone could steal your solar panels?
