- The James Webb Space Telescope's ability to peer back in time and its high sensitivity are unraveling the universe's mysteries like never before.
This is evident from a recent discovery, as a team of scientists from MIT used the telescope to observe light that had been traveling for 13 billion years to Earth, originating from stars surrounding some of the earliest supermassive black holes.
These observations raise questions about our current models of black hole formation, as these supermassive black holes are present only a few million years after the big bang and are massive, equivalent to millions or even billions of suns. One theory suggests that these black holes originated from 'heavy seed' black holes, growing from these massive seeds in the early universe.
This discovery sheds light on the evolution of black holes and galaxies in the early universe. It suggests that supermassive black holes might have gained their mass before their host galaxies did, indicating that the initial black hole seeds could have been more massive than those seen today.
The observations also hint at a mechanism called "direct collapse," where massive clouds of dust and gas collapse to form black holes without going through the star formation stage. This process could have led to the rapid growth of these supermassive black holes, challenging our previous understanding of black hole formation.

You keep quoting a theory proven wrong by the JWST when you quote the universe's age and the formation of galaxies. Observers seem desperate to cling to theories that jibe with the big bang instead of rethinking it.
1 . Age of the Universe = 13.8 Billion years.
2 . Hercules-Corona Borealis Great Wall age 10 Billion light years + Giant GRB Ring 5.6 Billion light years = 15.6 Billion light years. Probabbly around another 25 or so, largest cosmic structures, before we move to the largest voids. Indeed, we haven't started with other Galaxies (billions) and all their stars (trillions), before we get to the Milky Way. This seems perfectly logical to me... 🤣

Could it be "galaxies hosting blackholes" are blackholes, hosting galaxies and we don't know the difference between blackholes and white holes?
but we do, we just have not witnessed a white hole. a black hole feeds on material while the opposite white hole spits material out. we know the difference, what we dont know is how a white hole is formed. we have ideas and theories but we do not have evidence, but then again we dont exactly have evidence to prove the big bang either.
we are sure its galaxies hosting blackholes, because the mass to even supermassive ones are like less than 1% of the total galaxy mass, IIRC our black hole, Sargitarius A is 0,2% of the mass of the galaxy

Dust form from stars, so, scenario is wrong. What we discovered is other way around (we published results in MNRAS in 2023), galaxies form first, very rapidly from metal poor massive pop III stars. These stars form in groups that rapidly evolve into massive BH seeds, which merge to form SMBH. These mergers is what we observe as gravitational wave background. Pop III stars are difficult to see because they evolve so fast, leaving almost no traces except early SMBH. But other signs are there, like in GN-z11 or in general low Mg/Fe ratio of gas in all quasar at any redshift. Although personally I do not like it, this model save standard cosmology based on CDM.
