If I had a dime every time I heard a Southern rassler utter the phrase "Let me tell you sumptin" in a promo, usually with a big ol' bandage on their forehead, I'd be a millionaire! In fact--I think that would be a great name for an old school rasslin' podcast: "Let Me Tell You Sumptin"!
Tim Horner has all the charisma of a damp rag .His lumpy gravy thick accent was a hindrance He was a good in ring performer but he always looked scared cutting promos.
Amazing Tim Horner had time to wrestle between stealing trucks , fax machines , and having his wife yell at Cornette ! Cornette was so happy to fire Horner ! 😆

My parents use to take me to The Asheville Civic Center in Asheville, NC everytime the NWA came there. So much, that the Asheville Commerce Center knew dad by name, & let us park there free of charge. Tim Horner wrestled George South, & I I'll NEVER forget dad nudging me, saying, "Boy, if u still need to go to the damn bathroom, I can't think of a better time" 😂

I think that “White Lightning” Tim Horner’s promos were aimed at keeping the wrestling marks sympathetic to Tim. He was a midcard baby face at best, and a real goober to boot. His in-ring skills were certainly above average but the only people buying tickets because of Tim Horner being on the card were the confirmed marks.
In this promo, all Tim Honer did was prove that Paul Orndorff was correct.
I wonder how dutch was not laughing his behind off while standing next tim during this promo.

First time hearing this. It was even better than I expected it to be.
I dont see what the big deal is with your overreaction to how bad this promo is. Its not great by any means but its your standard cookie cutter southern boy promo. Ironcially, Horner's Lightning Express tag team partner, Brad Armstrong comes to mind. He's not the first to butcher Orndorff's name though. In both of their SNME matches, Hulk Hogan refers to Paul Orndorff as Orndoff without the second R. He should've just gone the Gino Hernandez route and said, "Or whatever your name is, no ones gonna care after I'm done with you."
If you want bad promos listen to Kenny Omega's post match promo in NJPW on Matt Sydal. Omega still sings his promos and laughs like a cringey anime villain. There's far worse promos than this.
I'ma be honest, you guys were just as cringey as Tim Horner was.
