What a lovely Ueno park, huge Zoo with various animals including sleeping and non-sleeping Panda babys and adults - interesting but I have missed the Lion King so much - Rion and Lion meeting at Ueno Zoo would have been top of the tops - perhaps another time. What a lunch for a single person. It was hard for me to count the number of the plates in front of you not to mention I could eat that much, but our Rion with his Lion appetite has been succesful in it regardles if more or less spicy. In the end delicios sweets - no wonder he left totally full and as a cherry on the cake finally our Rion could have win something from the claw machine - a tigny but cute PANDA - what a master editing integration of the main PANDA theme. Congrets Rion for that. Let' keep on walking together!!! GAAOOO!!!!!
Animals go back and forth because they don't have enough room and stimulation. I don't really like zoos. But if people have one the zoo should be natural and have boundless space for the animals. Also need their own companions.

Probably next time you should consider having the soup dumplings (xiao long bao) first by poking a small hole to drain the hot soup onto the soup first then have it with shredded gingers and vinegar.🥢🥟 Maybe you should try out Ding Tai Fung at Tokyo. Century eggs. Probably you should try it in the Cantonese porridge. Have a good week ahead. I can't wait for upcoming your Sunday Livestream (falls coincidentally on my birthday).

I will be visiting in autumn too, but since my schedule is tight, I probably won`t include the Zoo. btw: there are many animal cafe! cat Cafe-Shiba Inu Cafe- Hedgehog cafe :) planning to visit them all hahahha

The zoo has changed since we visited in 2008 much improved, went to see the giant panda but he had passed away, the local visitors were very helpful, we had a problem with the ticket machine they sorted it for us, finding the zoo from the station was confusing for kiwi tourists wonderful people sent us the right way,

Congrats in getting the little panda hahaha finally!, I am a female solo traveler from Manila, It was my first time in Japan 2 weeks ago, I enjoyed Ueno area, I ate fresh cherries and strawberries in Ameyoko, went to the zoo etc etc...I miss Tokyo.
Hello Rion, love the video! I was at Ueno Zoo 2014. It look like they moved the pandas. I remember the pandas was next to the main entrance. Ueno zoo is so big, I end up spending the whole day there!😊😊😊
Rion, one quick comment. Rainy season starts in Okinawa around May 6-8. This year it started late, May 18th. Rainy season lasts around 5 weeks or so. Everyone, please don't forget Okinawa on your next Japan trip!

What a fun day in Ueno! I'm definitely going to see if I can check it out on my trip. The Chinese restaurant looked so good. I liked the lunch deal where you could try multiple dishes. I make Mapo Tofu at home sometimes, but I bet it's better there. I also lost it at 11:32. I didn't know they had Red Pandas too! They are my favorite

I visited that temple on my first trip to Japan, and while it's not grand like others, this was a gem for me, having been the first temple I found in Japan on my first day wandering through Ueno Park. The torii gates lining the path I took were amazing. IIRC, I went backwards compared to his directions, so I walked through the gates before reaching the temple. There's also a Temple modeled after Kiyomizu Temple in Kyoto within a 10 minute walk, including the always frequent 'where are we now?'. There's even a temple/shrine dedicated to the Tokugawa clan who united Japan. If you have one spot/park to choose to get a dose of Japan, visit Ueno Park. I'm sure there are others but I consider myself so lucky to have chosen Ueno Park to get that first look, just by coincidence.
I have to take so many notes now that we will be going to Japan soon! Last time I went to Ueno I missed out on so much. Glad to have you show us so any details! Glad you had a good time. I love how you can handle spicy food
I love visiting zoos but every time I see the Ueno Zoo, I find it depressing. The enclosures for the animals looks really small compared to other zoos 😢
