  • Take a look at the Eureka! SPRK+ Camp Stove.
    Carole uses this stove on her kitchen set. Although the SPARK+ is intended as a camp stove, Carole uses it inside with PLENTY OF AIR CIRCULATION! Please DO NOT use this in an enclosed room without sufficient air movement! Not sponsored by Eureka! I purchased this machine with my own money.

      @@hawl20 hi Austin. I’m finding it great for my cooking show. It’s strong heat but the heat doesn’t escape beyond the burner. I tried a few others like the Japanese Iwatani which I actually purchased too. But sent it back after doing a video on both.

    How fast does it boil the water if you put a lid on saucepan?

    • @YuCanCookWithCarole
      @YuCanCookWithCarole  3 года назад +2

      Hi melody! Just got back to work from a week break off social. So anyway thanks so much for your question! I found that putting a lid on cut the time significantly. But for video’s sake did it without a lid so you all could see. Let me know how long it takes for you! Of course, water boiling depends on your altitude, like if you’re camping in the mountains it’ll take longer! And it depends on the size and quality and heat conductivity of the pan or pot you’re using!

      Definitely dont cook with this indoors. Only for outdoor use. The product has a carbon monoxide hazard warning on it. The stove can produce carbon monoxide.

    The Eureka stove is the only one of dozens of these type stoves that has a built-in wind screen. But it appears that they are no longer offering it.

    What size is the largest pan you can safely use on it ? What size is the smallest ?

    • @MELODYMUNRO
      @MELODYMUNRO 3 года назад +3

      I did see a youtube video which said you dont want the bottom of the pan to be wider than the base otherwise it throws heat onto where the canister is sitting.

    • @YuCanCookWithCarole

      Hi Chuck just getting back to you. I was able to put a small bowl that was 3” diameter on the burner. That would be useful if you’re camping for a moka coffee pot. The largest it can handle is a 12”, I use my cast iron pan on it all the time!

    Are these safe?

    • @YuCanCookWithCarole
      @YuCanCookWithCarole  3 года назад +1

      Yup do a Google search and this camp stove makes all the top lists. They’re sold by major companies like REI who wouldn’t take the chance on a product if it wasn’t safe. Also, like I said on the video, there’s a great locking switch so that the stove can’t be turned on unless it’s been released. Also depends on how you plan to use it, lol. I wouldn’t advise using it on a camping trip close to starter fluid😉😜

    • @YuCanCookWithCarole
      @YuCanCookWithCarole  2 года назад +4

      I actually compared the Iwatani to the eureka! I liked both and had a hard time deciding between them. In the end, I chose the Eureka because i wanted a stove with a wind screen and I wanted the ability to use it outside when needed.
