Thank you for a great video (and all the others ...) Keith, your joy certainly rubs off ! Brings back memories: a good 50 years ago BR was giving away Rail Rover tickets for next to nothing in Holland, including an almost free ferry crossing to and from Harwich. So as a 15 year old I spent a fortnight going up- and down the UK by train. Do love the way the stations have the proper look in your neck of the woods, even some of the loco's are familiar !
Cor blimy that was good stuff Keith! Another great session, in fact like old times! The car train is an amazing sight and being pulled by that nice Maritime liveried db 66.Great to see you back at Leicester, where there is always something good to see, such as the ROG 37 going about its business. As always enjoyed every minute and thanks for taking us with you! Take care, cheers Nick.
I came to the total of 42 wagons x 6 cars a wagon =252 cars. Good that you're out and about in the spring sunshine. I expect that you're missing June, I know I would my lovely Lady Henia. Keep on Smiling!
Thank you very much for such an interesting video ! The sight of the Caledonian Sleeper Class 73 at Leicester was a real scoop ! Well done, and many thanks.
Thanks a lot Bob. I was really up the swanee that morning. had awful dizzy spells which I've never had before. and have not had them since. Thank goodness.
Plenty to enjoy there Keith, and a real bonus getting the 37 shunting the barrier coaches and then 56081 towing the Caledonian 73 - they were off to Doncaster by the way with the 73 then heading back to Scotland. Pity I was at work with you on my home turf
Cool video Keith I enjoy seeing a lot of passenger and freight trains I like when the train went by the repair shops and seeing all those engines waiting to be repaired I love the picture on your computer of your son David and Lady June be safe and careful out there on filming these trains
Super video Keith, nice to see the Midland is still quite busy. Like you makes you wonder with the prices of everything going up who can afford all these new houses. Well done 🤓 stay safe 💙
Hi Keith another great video glad to see ur getting about that was a good day out for you lovely pic of David and the lady June I hope you're OK and I look forward to the next video please keep well and safe my friend
Counted 120 cars on the top row... so around 240 would be right... with an guessed average price of £25k per car that would make that load worth £6m !!!!!!! - Great video Keith !
when ,like, a new unit is coming out of a factory or refurbishment it may be towed 'dragged' as they call it, to it's home ant at the rear 'so called' barrier wagons will be attached in case of accident. Don't see the point myself but there could be a special safety reason that I don't know about. Hope this is useful.
@@SMILEVIDEOTRAINS I'm going up to the Buxton area and Toton next week with m brother we might stop off at Wellingborough and have a beer at the station pub ....all the best Keith ..

@@SMILEVIDEOTRAINS can I correct you the owner splits in several places between London and Peterborough from four tracks down to two where as London to Kettering north junction where it splits Corby to the right and market harborrough straight on this line is four tracks all the way to the junction to which I believe is around 80 miles of four tracks continueus to which the London to Peterborough isn't,

Very enjoyable Keith. What a contrast to the four trains I videoed in two hours out in the country!
I have just transferred a 2012 video taken at the GCR steam Gala to the computer. Superb. Stick to the WSR, I can watch as much as you like.
Great to see you getting out Keith in this nice weather we have had, and you managed to get some good locos and workings on film.

No chance of me getting there again although I have been 3 times 20 or so years ago. I was real good then just like many other locations.

Amazing that those old Class 37s are still in service after all these years. That horrible blue smoke shows their age!
soon be calling them 'puffing billies' lol
Pretty sure they puffed blue smoke from new!
