Great run down! I've played the Dunwich Legacy and I'm on the last scenario of the Path to Carcosa. I'm overdue to revisit this franchise. Thanks for reminding me of its greatness.
Thnx Sebastien. AH LCG is our number one game ever, and it was sooooo hard to make this ranking when we love everything about it. In generel every newer expansion is more fun thanks to new mechanics evolving through years, so you defintele need to go back to it:-P
I dont exactly remember the story ... but my gosh i do remember the scenarios from Innsmouth Conspiracy .... everyone in the comments also, totally sleeping on this campaign ... the starting out in a tunnel, the flooding city, the car chase, the island hopping! ... ill admit .. they all kinda blended together after maybe the 4/5th scenario .. especially when one of them revisits the same location... So i was completely DONE!!.. with "deep ones" and the ocean for a while after playing through, but it was a nice change of pace as opposed to the same old arkham/mansions/ghouls for location and theme. looking back, i think it was more of a fleshing out of new mechanics than it was meant to be the most memorable story, and overall i found it fun and memorable for the scenarios rather than what was happening literary wise. Definitely recommend this campaign if you need a change of scenery and completely different ways scenarios play out, this whole campaign feels/plays like an Arkham Horror lcg Dagon "theme park" or "roller coaster" .. totally fun but shallow. So, great for groups, maybe not the BEST for newbies, but definitely doesnt require much experience.
an interesting approach to ranking. You seem to rank it from the perspective of story mostly, bc mechanically Circle Undone, in my opinion, is quite poor, it's my least favourite cycle and I didn't expect it to be seen so high. That prologue thing is cool for the story but so unnecessary for the actual gameplay and boring when you replay it... It also explains why your top picks are so high, as the story of your number 1 is, maybe, not my favourite, but it is one of top-2 and I'm not sure if it is not the 1st. Though. at the same time you ranked Edge of the Earth very low, what slightly breaks the general pattern.
Yeah, EotE was a topic for a bigger discussion at our home, because me (David) appreciate the dynamism of the plot, whereas Greg was a bit bored with a few scenarios in the same setting and recycling the "dream" scenario.
Hi guys, I'm new in Arkham Horror the Card game and just purchased the base and dunwich (campaign and investigators). Now I want to buy another two scenarios/investigators sets, and was thinking of Carcosa and Forgotten Age, with Broken Circle next. Do you think it's good to go this way or should I buy Carcosa and Broken Circle and let Forgotten Age for latter? Thanks very much.
This video is a bit confusing. The investigators and the cards you showed are not from the expansions you speak of. These cards are from the core box / night of the zealot.
I have just played Dunwich, Carcosa and The Circle Undone. My favourite is still Dunwich, second Carcosa and very, very last The Circle Undone. Maybe is because we had, playing with a friend, great games in Dunwich and very climatic endings.
@@Cons2911The Dunwich Campaign box will have the story/scenarios. The Investigator box will have additional investigators and player cards you can use. So two boxes. They do not have to be bought/used together.
I will say this, with builds from arkhamdb.com/, each expansion will be fine. However, remember mechanics evolves with each expansion, so if you start "in the middle" and if the future you will try one of the former sets, you can find them a bit underwhelming in comparison. And one more thing, Scarlet Keys is now the most difficult expansion ever :-)
Thank you for your insightful and candid reviews on the different expansions
Thank you for watching the vid:-)

My Ranking so far:
1) Path to Carcosa
2) Dunwich Legacy
3) Circle Undone
4) Formaten Age
Thank you very much for the translation
You’re welcome Raúl 😉
I read somewhere that Ghoul Priest deals damage to all investigators at their location. Is that true?
thank you for your insight :) i already have the path to carcosa , planning to get the dunwich legacy
You are welcome:-) Both cycles are great!

Let’s say how Scarlet Keys will fit in this ranking, can’t wait for this new cycle.
Personally I loved Forgotten Age even though I am not fan of Indiana Jones types of adventures. Loved the inventory twist to it and choices.
Drasctical changes in setting (I mean a variety of places we visit) through the campaign is also refreshing and makes this campaign very memorable.

If you already know you're going to collect everything, stick with the chronological order (dates of publishing) 🙂

We can all agree that every expansion is great but deaufult, so picking the favorite ones is often the matter of personal taste :-)
Question, if I buy di which, is it just one pack/box or multiple? Do they come with characters already? Sorry, I’m new, I see so many and I’m confy

What shelves are those in the background? Where’d you get them?
Just ikea 😉
No Carcosa ?
Check 5:50 ;-)
No dobra, ranking jest ale nie odpowiada na pytanie co kupic dla swiezaka po podstawce? No i co z tymi malymi dodatkami z pojedynczymi scenariuszami?

which language do you have ?
Polish one ;-)
You advice to get first the most difficult expansion : forgotten age ?

@@BeastieGeeks I have started with Dunwich Legacy, I like it a lot but not really popular on youtube
Pozdrowienia koledzy!
Pozdrowienia ☺️
Even though your video is in English the games, cards etc are not very hard to follow and get into it
Really good rankings! I have Dunwich and am torn between getting Carcosa or Undone
I think you will buy all of them, eventually. xD
