You’re a lifesaver! 🎉🎉 I’ve been trying to find a clock that can give a pulse every 20 seconds. Been searching for a good 6 hours and finally found your video
Didn’t know that about the 1st clock ! What’s the reasoning for the sticky piston to cause for the increase speed . Btw super well and detailed explanation! Great vid
I need a redstone clock that u can turn on and off with redstone itself bc i want a railway crossing with bells but the bells need to be toggled on and off
I would use the second design for this. Add 2 repeaters, one going into the first comparator, and one coming out of the redstone at the far end away from the comparator. Remove all delay on all repeaters to speed up the clock. Now you just need to put a bell at the output (after the repeater you just placed) and then somehow figure out how to turn the clock on and off using a lever or a t-flip flop or a detector rail, etc! Good luck! This sounds like fun!
I can't get this to work. Following the exact description. Put one item in the piston moves it ones then get's stuck on one side over the hoppers. If I separate and connect with redstone by one block to the side it works. If I put more than one item in it's only moving one item back and forth and the rest stay in the first hopper making the comparators stop lit up on one side??? 😫😫😫
Minecraft 1.20.6 must be broken. The hopper clock doesn't work anymore. You can't put more than one item in the hopper. If you put a stack of 64 Redstone in the hopper it will only transfer one item back and forth.
@@VidMCU I got it to work but it is really flaky. Placing two hoppers on their own to test does not work. It just transfers one item back and forth. Even blocking the one hopper with a Redstone block does not work. However when I built the whole circuit it started working. I have noticed generally that there appear to be bugs getting into Minecraft now. Like I have found occasionally that the collision boxes are not working. I will be hit by a Zombie two blocks away or arrows will go straight through mobs with no affect. Especially a problem with Creepers. These things did not used to happen and I have been playing for a long time. Of course whenever Microsoft gets involved things go to sh$t. That was a big mistake Mojang.
@@anth5189 I've now tested this up to 1.20.6 and it's working just fine. Sorry to hear you were having issues but the design works! The pistons and the redstone block are 100% required!
Yea, I have it working as a full device. The two hoppers just on their own though don't seem to work. Not a big deal but someone testing it out could think it doesn't work at all. I have a mob harvester with a large space with 13 dispensers with a water buckets on either side in series. The Redstone clock is at it's longest period. This gives mobs time to spawn, the water then turns on and pushes them into the centre and the trap below. Of course Spiders are annoying, but it gets you arrows, flesh and gun powder.
Thank you for ACTUALLY explaining the etho hopper clock! Nobody else explains the comparators
Happy to share my knowledge!
Oh wow! Super clear explanation of concepts that have frustrated me for years! Thanks!!
Glad it was helpful! I'm going to make more of these!
@@VidMCU Fantastic! 😉

Glad I could help! 6 hours is a long time to be searching!
That's so useful! Thanks Vid!

Good question! This is just something I noticed in testing!
thank you, this helped me a lot.
Glad it helped!
Good video and straight to the point
Thanks!
I know exactly what I plan to do with this information. Make a rhythm game where you must move to the beat.
Tu 'e foda gringo. Video excelente
Really useful! thankyou!
Glad it was helpful!
great tutorial thank you!

@@VidMCU i added it as the engine for a 40x40 bamboo farm and the rates on it now are insane
Would copper bulb be useful in redstone clocks?
Hard to say if there's a good use yet. All of these clocks wouldn't benefit from it but there might be a new design around the corner!
@4ardW0rKINGbarn1CAL Actually I recently realized you can use a copper bulb to cut clock frequency in half
Can I make a 30 min timer?
thanks
You're welcome!

do you know an updated minecraft 1.20 zero tick clock? thanks
You can make a zero tick pulse but I don't know if a zero tick clock exists
@@VidMCU oh ok thanks could u make a video of the fastest clock/pulse on 1.20?

It was me, I was doing something wrong. It now works 👍
I don’t play Minecraft why did I watch this?

yo why does my redstone clock keep burning out ???
Did you follow my design?

Oh really? I haven't tested this past 1.20.4 at the moment. I hope it doesn't break! A lot of stuff depends on this circuit!
