I do wonder why the loco 7 took the trouble to decouple the wagons and then couple them from the other end? It looks like the string of cars could have gone the same way as the loco. My only guess is that they don't want to push do this because these light cars might derail when pushed on an uneven track. Otherwise it's a way to accomplish the same change of directions with fewer moves. I did watch your other video from this place.

Very good question and your guess is very correct.
When turning and pushing a long empty wagon there is a risk of the wagon slipping. that's why it was divided into several wagons and then put them on branch lines. and only the locomotive is rotating, it's very safe.

Are those rails basically about the same gauge as trolly rail? Its very neat to see these smaller trains run the way they do! With a lower weight class the track can still hold the weight of these styles of train and not need a huge budget for track replacement constantly
