- 【Synopsis】
Young Kouta Kazuraba works hard as a part time jobber and he thinks that he would like to be a different person for his future. One day, he happen to pick up the belt, the tool for transforming Kamen Rider, on the forrest and started fighting as Kamen Rider to save the people from the monsters named Inves which came from different world.

Le jeune Kouta Kazuraba travaille dur comme homme à tout faire à temps partiel. Il pense devenir quelqu'un d'autre dans le futur. Un jour dans la forêt, il ramasse la ceinture qui est l'outil pour se transformer en Kamen Rider. Il commence à se battre en tant que Kamen Rider pour sauver les gens des monstres nommés Inves qui venaient d'un monde différent.

Loved this episode. Kouta trying to go about his daily life as Gaim is comedic genius.

I like it when characters goof around with their new powers instead of acting all serious and responsible.

For those who've seen the whole series, you gotta love how Kaito's whole deal was he hated those who picked on the weak, and here he is picking on Team Gaim
It's more like he accepted that it's the way this world works. Even if he hates it, he can't afford to show weakness.
Kaito was flawed but not inherently wrong either, he had to prey on the weak to survive and get strong, yet despises the idea that he had to. Kouta found an answer to that...
That’s exactly how someone would react if they had these new powers , they would practice posing and different things , not just accept and fight like they always had those powers.

Like how Kouta misusing his power in first place than reality hit him of how dangerous it is and lastly finally know what he fighting for and serious reason behind it too.
No one in the fandom is allowed will deny being Kouta misusing power for every day things we’re all not Spider-Man
If you analyze all the times Kouta gets in a crisis, you can slowly see how it influenced his final decision at the end of the series. Each time it is a triumph but each time he is pushed more and more to his final outcome.

Later, it’s actually a terrifying story about trying to stop Japanese Skynet from killing all humans, and enslaving all machines!

Loved this episode back when it first aired too. Kouta using the powers from testing them out in his home, to using them from selfish gains, and finally coming to terms with what they were really for. Excellent writing on Gen Urobuchi's part. Wish you'd release the DVDs here, or at least upload the series to here. Everyone should see this excellent Rider series. :)

Loved how Kouta was practicing his henshin at home and him trying to see if his rider form would work at various odd jobs. Shows what most riders don't show, finding the right pose and when to use it.
Also XD at his sister yelling at him to go to bed
Yeah, it was kind of fun and endearing. Totally plausible as well.

I fell in love with this season after this episode I love that he tries to use its power for day to day chores and work and what happens it’s too powerful it’s so funny and something I’ve never seen even power rangers never did that.
The scene were Kouta transforms not for selfish reasons but to protect others is just so great

The fight music of Gaim really is something else.

Was that the intended message of those scenes at the start? Because it looked more to me like Kouta's failures had less to do with his intentions and more to do with the suit of powered samurai armor being ill-suited to driving a delivery cart or ascending scaffolding.

It's not the first time that happens in the series, time and time again we're kind of shown that Kaito's mindset is very flawed. Sagara even shows Mai a potential future where had Kaito even won the battle for the golden fruit and he became a ruler with that mentality, because everyone was pretty much left to fend for themselves and seek their own strength, humanity became extinct, leaving only him and Mai to wander the earth forever. He's just too stubborn to see that he's wrong.
That's intentional. Kaito is a very conflicted character. He simultaneously believes that strength is the most important thing in the world but also deeply despises that fact.

8 years later here I am. To this day Gaim is one of the best Kamen Rider series IMHO and I missed this a lot.
When Gaim was still coming out a lot of KR fans thought it's theme (fruit) is stupid because it's not a usual sci-fi/fantasy trope. It turned out to be one of the best KR stories ever made.
I'm a fan of kamen rider too because I love kamen rider for the rest of my life

If Toel would get its act together and release more kamen rider super sentai and ultraman in the west they would make a killing. The fact that power rangers is still go despite changing hands a half dozen times proves there is a market for these shows.
Except, Kamen Rider is a hard deal, thanks to Saban butchering Kamen Rider Black. Dragon Knight had promise though, hopefully they would one day realize how much riders have influenced the west.
