Just beautiful and to think the whole of Britain and the commonwealth contributed to make their wedding as lovely as possible. So soon after the war, Elizabeth was going to have an ‘economy wedding’ but everyone disagreed and helped. I think Australia 🇦🇺 sent the dried fruit for the wedding cake and, I don’t know if we had any lack of sugar but I do remember my dad saying ‘every saved teaspoon goes for the princesses wedding cake’ Think that was the excuse for our cutting down of sugar. 🙏🙏👵🇦🇺
