I was blown away when I watched it just on Blu Ray. I couldn't believe how well the CGI looked when compared to even the original DVD release. Beautiful film.
Mathew Broderick made this a fun movie to watch and I have it on Blu-ray. Anyone looking for a scary horror Godzilla should look elsewhere. Your review sold me on the 4K Remaster. Thanks for the glowing technical review.

I have a soft place for this movie in my heart. It's a fun movie, not amazing, but fun. It's in my heart because it was the first movie I saw after stealing my moms car, driving without a license just to see the movie. The fear of her finding out and the massive spectacle the movie was, it was a great night. After all these years she still don't know
Adam i saw wednesday my 2012 4K mastered 1080P Sony BLU-RAY they are many shots in movie looking almost like VHS but others (the next scene!) looking A1 as they did this movie yesterday great 4K crisp clear sharp the same issue on your nativ 4K too?
@@MovieGuy365 so not a single DVD looking soft scene at all on UHD disc? If your answer is yes that means Sony did another newer 4K scan and fixed those scenes and this 4K transfer is not from my 4K mastered 1080p BLU-RAY!

they should have called godzilla 1 , mega mutant dino based on some science, humans vs a big dino,it was fun. but godzilla 2, 3, and 4 are fat and mystical mythical mythological boring garbarge. what is so fun about they are invincible and they shoot blue beams and blow trumpets all day.
@@MovieGuy365 Pacific Rim was/is = GDT TRANSFORMERS movie don't get me wrong PR is a great HDR showcase demo movie the sequel was not as original as the first

Just bought it. I remember watching this movie with my dad when I was a kid. This movie will always have a soft spot for me.

The 4K looked great, light film grain from the source. Godzilla looks really great here.

I've never seen a good Godzilla movie. Peter Jackson or Guillermo Del Toro could probably do a good one!

Don’t get me wrong, it’s fun but not much story substance. I still own both of them though 😂
The CGI did NOT hold up well but its a good transfer.

Dude there are 90s Cgi, dont expect much, even JP dinosaurs Cgi dont looks so good
Sorry but the picture quality sucks, it`s horrible ... just like the DVD & BLURAY before it.
