    Good to see footage of the fight with British commentary, first live transatlantic fight courtesy of Telstar satellite, and probably a massive contributory factor to his huge popularity in the UK. Seeing these clips invariably leaves me with a smile on my mush. "You're a poet and do not know it. And your feet show it." Just sublime.

    Liston was beaten before the fight even started. I never saw a single punch he threw land and Clay was unmarked. I saw this fight live on an old TV, but was too young to really know what was happening.

    @MrParkej Berbers are indigenous Africans who've lived in the Land for 1000s of years, that's a fact. And there's many blacks in North Africa as well. They're a minority but there are quite a few blacks there. Sudan and Somalia are Arab speakers but they're black, for instance.
    And Ali was the one who said: "Muhammad Ali's a black man's name."...
    See Muhammad Ali considers Arabs to be black people, for some reason and even Asians, even though they aren't.

  • @truebeliever786
    @truebeliever786 13 лет назад +1

    @MrParkej Well most North-African Muslims are Berbers, not Arabs, and they're native to the Land, pure African blooded....... And they're warrior people.....They've just adopted all the Arab traditions because they came in, just like the world's adopted western traditions like democracy, political systems etc....... And cut the racism......

      If anything Asians or south Asians are more black then Arabs. Bengalis South Indians Tamils are usually more darker than west Central Africans.

    @MrParkej Muhammad Ali is a black man's name, a brown man's name, a red man's name, a yellow man's name and a white man's name, any man's name because people have that name from all different cultural backgrounds... Period!

  • @truebeliever786

    Every part of Muhammad Ali is African. It is Arabic and all of North Africa is Arabic in culture and language. In Ancient Egypt, they spoke a language very similar to Arabic.

    His original name was a black man's name.
    Muhammad Ali's a black man's name. Cassius Clay is a slave name given by white slave-owners. He chose to go back to his traditional ways.

      Cassius Marcellus Clay was a white man who abolished slavery in Kentucky where Muhammad/Clay and his great grandfather were born. The men on his family were named after the man who helped slaves.

    @MrParkej Many Berbers are black. There's black, brown and white Berbers, they're native Africans and part of Africa just as much as any other native Africans. If you say Arabs aren't you have a point, but to say Berbers aren't is total bullshit.........

  • @giodmx313

    well dont go back that far because at some point we all come from 1 civilisation ... :D ... he was born in 20 century and at that time african and arabic was 2 different things :) ...
