Finally Oceanside is cleaning up. I listened to a real Estate podcast years ago talking about the most undervalued areas in the country and Oceanside came up as number 1. I guess with all the changes, it’s now quickly becoming a great beach town.

Half of Oceanside has no beach! Giant problem. No room for beach goers south of Tyson st.

Moved here in 2005 from the Bay Area. Loved it. Got a nice big house in the valley, San Luis Rey area. My house backyard faces the SLRBP and that’s great for me since I’m a cyclist. But honestly all this development (I’m very near both of the two new developments along the BP) has gotten out of control. More traffic and people has given Oside a more crowded feel. I still love living here but wish they slow down with the housing building rush. And yes my house is worth a whole lot more but at the expense of less tranquility.

"Oceanside initially got off on a bad foot with its sand retention proposal. The City Council agreed in August 2021 to spend up to $1 million on plans and permits for a pilot project that included the construction of four rock groins, which are jetty-like structures to hold sand on the beach" SEE PROGRESS 😅

Don't understand, I was born in Oceanside July of 1945. Oceanside was at it's best in the late 40's and 50's. It could use less development.

I wholeheartedly agree. Way over developed and more is no better. Clean up the city, but dont over crowd it, which is where it obviously is headed.

I love Oceanside but they do not need a wave lagoon. For goodness sake they have the Ocean!

I am having two possible job offers in SD and your videos are the most complete and informative with things I should know before moving there.
One is in Encinitas and the other one is by National City.
I am a special education teacher (you can imagine my income 😅) so, I am terrified with rent prices and cost of living in the entire SD area 😰😰😰!
Do you know why there are no informative videos like these ones about National City 🤔? With more details about the area

Oceanside is only a couple communities north of Encinitas. If you took the job in Encinitas (my home town 🤗) your commute on the I-5 south in the morning would be messy, but definitely doable.

I am not aware of anyone local who has put out a video/information pertaining to national city. Depending on how far you’re looking to commute, you can look in places like Oceanside and Escondido for more affordable rent options when taking the job in Encinitas.

National city is the ghetto that’s why. Go to Encinitas

Gentrification at it's finest. Us locals hate it. Bring on more implants, keep raising housing prices! Awesome! Great job at explaining it tho.

This cities infrastructure is already overburdened. Oceanside Blvd is going to be a parking lot. I'm done with this town I can't wait to get out of south Los Angeles.
