  • I created this coffee table for Zach and Julia implementing bits of traditional Korean elements seen in their older furniture and architecture. One of the main goals of this coffee table was to have it pay tribute to their time and vacation in Korea :-).

Your decision to stay true to your art form, clearly shows that your understanding of the individual's creative process. What I mean by this is, that an Artisan or Craftsman would more than likely work the clients' choices into the piece. With that said when an Artist is asked to express themselves in a piece you know that it's our expression in the Art, and not the clients. obviously, this can be a difficult choice, but you made the right choice and both parties are happy, Great job.

Nicely done. I would have been worried about FL's humidity and acclimation, but putting on the finish helped, I'm sure. You're going to do very well on YT. Congrats on a wonderful build. 수고하셨어요!

Thank you! I did think about the humidity and in the end, I'm sure it will be fine because of the accommodation for parts to move and adjust. Appreciate you reaching out and sharing your kind words! 감사합니다!!

Applying finish in a hotel room is so chaotic, I love it!

The table came out great. Did you happen to show the design to the woodworkers in Korea? I'm curious what they thought about it.

Interestingly enough, many of them saw it and brought it up before I did during our get-to-know each other/ice breaking conversations 😱😱! I was really shocked and honored to hear that they did and to have received the compliments they gave me - kind of a mixture of being star-struck and flattered at the same time :-). I was even more shocked to hear that their students AS well as other people from my own neighborhood had also been following along and cheering! :-)
