I installed pioneer stereo in my scion tc 2011 and only thing was missing the steering control which i worked out after watching this video. Excellent video and to the point. It will be nice to mention the useful wires of the 22 pins stock connector which are going to be connected to the controller. I was stuck on black and green wire and then i saw that it was connected to light green wire on stock connector. Vola after that my steering control after programming work excellent. Thank you.

I just installed an ATOTO S8 into my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan, but I used the same Axxess steering interface as you. ATOTO tech support told me to select Pioneer as the radio, but whatever works! I was only able to activate 4 of my 6 steering wheel buttons, but I am going to try the rapid press trick you describe and see if that lets me load up the remaining two. That would be GREAT.
Great video, except the adapter for the steering wheel controls is not needed! Just wire up the two SWC wires from the headunit to the 2 wires from steering wheel and it's good to go.

I believe 2013 is the same. Because the OEM unit is slightly wider, you will need this kit for the installation - Metra 95-8202 Toyota DDIN Multi Dash Kit - amzn.to/3RcOyQX. I went through all the installation steps in the video.

Atoto S8Pro has 29 watts of RMS per channel. The peak wattage is 196 watts. The RMS in the original head unit is 16 watts per channel. The peak wattage is the same 196 watts. ATOTO does sound good. I did not experience any problems.
It makes sense to install the antenna since it is not complicated to do. The only major thing you can skip is the addition of the steering wheel control interface. It won't affect the operation of the head unit but you won't have steering wheel controls.
It's completely up to you. You can use the same parts / products, that we used. They do work with the TC. There are other options on the market that you can use as well.

Unit comes with Wi-Fi antenna. You can use your smartphone to set up the Wi-Fi hotspot or use any other Wi-Fi source in order to be able to connect to the Internet. Once connected you can use the head unit like a regular tablet.
