Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy was a massive success and definitely had a huge impact on the superhero movie genre. Coming off of the critical acclaim of The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises had a lot to live up to. Did it? Maybe not so much. The movie raises a ton of questions. Like why did Batman spend 70% of the movie unable to move properly? Why did Bane fly all the way to India to deliver some exposition? Why does the C.I.A. suck at investigating? What’s up with sending all those cops into the sewers at once?
To answer all these questions and more, step inside the pitch meeting that led to The Dark Knight Rises! It’s super easy, barely an inconvenience!

we can arrange that
Louis Lia Thien Hung Exactly what I've been saying for years. While her performance is terrible in that one scene,Nolan should be held equally if not more accountable for putting that in the final product. Then again I always personally felt like Nolan phoned it in a bit with this film because of the way that 'The Dark Knight' got snubbed at the Oscars. But that's just my opinion.
As much effort as they spent in making The Dark Knight, felt like everyone was phoning it in for the 3rd installment...

I saw both films for the first time this week. And yes, she's WAY better in Inception.
I liked the Talia twist in TDKR, but after thinking about it for a while, it sort of weakens the character development the flashbacks gave to Bane, for the Miranda character I completely forgot about in the second act (which I think was what the film tried to do, but still).

@nan that's not a prison. That was a huge well built in medieval times to store huge amounts of water for the mehrangarh fort in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
Chand Baori serves as the film location for the interior prison scenes in The Dark Knight Rises. A “baori” is a stepwell, a structure unique to India. In the arid climate of Rajasthan, these wells were imperative for the storage of water in ancient times. Though the city is abandoned, many visitors come here every year. @@matthewpatrick7263 Dr who did that?
@@matthewpatrick7263 That's exactly what happens when I go to the doctor. He punches me as hard as he can and that fixes whatever the problem is. The wonders of modern medicine...
@Roa Apparently I'm the only one who has ever been to (or even heard of) a chiropractor. Although they obviously don't do it by punching like that, they sometimes do apply pressure to certain areas of the back to move things to the right position without surgery and the result is that the pain is lessened a lot and you can walk better. I know that doctors who want you to pay for drugs and surgeries are against chiropractors, and there are limits to what one can help you with, but if you have a minor back problem, they can help. What I said in my point is that if the injury were minor enough, specifically a vertebra being dislocated, it could be snapped back into position by a chiropractic procedure, and that a punch to the exact spot using exactly the right amount of force could theoretically do the same thing.

Grab the octopus repellant.
Its crazy to think that someone decided to name them "manholes" and then other people must've agreed that it was a good name
For a hole a man goes into? Many things are named in a similarly descriptive way... keyboard, basketball, apple pie, etc.
Oh, you think pitches are your ally. But you merely adopted the pitches; I was born pitching, molded by pitching. I didn't see the green light until I was already a man, by then the green light was nothing to me but Matt Damon! The Studios betray you, because they belong to me!
- Ben Affleck
RIP Leto
I read this with a Bane voice.
That's a lovely lovely voice
Somebody give this man a mask!
Grover in the wall is tight!
I still think this is one of the best pitch meetings. Hilarious from start to finish! 👏
"And bane breaks his back"
"Oh my god"
Yeah so then he can’t physically be Batman anymore his body’s broken
I know replicating the scene from the comics is impossible but you gotta have some difference with the actors size, plus it looked like bad wire kungfu
A muppet that got stuck in a wall...I'm DEAD.
So's the Muppet. By now. I'd think.
I hope it was Mademoiselle Cochon
This made me pmsl
"When the police really wanna capture someone, they just send everybody!"
"Oh, I didn't know that, where'd you learn that?"
"Payday 2"
I always have a little smile inside, when in everday conversation I can say "super easy, barely an inconvenience"
Me:" I'm assuming putting all these pitch meetings together must be difficult for you"
Also Me: " Actually their super easy barely an inconvenience"
Me: "Yeah Super easy is tight"
The Professional: SEND EVERYBODY!!!
Mom: what are you doing with your life?
Me: "Get off my back, please and thank you"
do a pitch meeting on the pirate of the caribean movies
"Get outta the wall, Grover!" made me laugh waaaaaaaaaaaay too hard
I actually believed this movie was perfect but now im rethinking myself
Filthy frank This movie has tons of logical inconsistencies but that doesn’t make it any less perfect as a movie
The first two Dark Knight films were f*cking awesome. This one f*cking wasn't.
@@feldon27 people want to pretend this is a perfect trilogy but TDKR is not a good movie. Bane is hilariously quotable though.
arch devil Bane! That’s my name! If you say the name again you’ll sound inane!
When I say no, you say survivors. No!
. . .
No!

When I say no, you say survivors. No!

Gotham, you suck!
This trilogy would have been almost perfect if Heath was in TDKR.
I almost forgot how silly the movies plot was
I realised watching it...I've never bothered watching it again since the cinema.
Yeah its a silly character with silly movies
@@606danco clearly u dont know these characters if u think they're silly
Honestly Ryan, I love the way you say "Well Ok then!" It reminds me of so many incompetent bosses I've had over the years. Thank you!
Just watched these all in one sitting... Also I wait for the “barely an inconvenience...” line every time.
I was genuinely not expecting the man hole thing to go that route. Love it all, so creative.
0:46 Exactly how Banes sounds like in TDKR
"You sound like a muppet that got stuck in a wall" 😂
Every time you say "bye bye" I wave to the screen and smile like a teenager fool.
Hey Ryan, luv ur videos, great channel...this one definitely summed up my thoughts on the utter confusion of this movie..so gud!!!..The Happening is still my favourite video though...u are too talented man...mad props from Ireland👍🤣
We got hit with the double “Barely an inconvenience” in this episode.
Saying “barely an inconvenience” is TIGHT
