Thank you so much for sharing! Would the smaller percentages be the smaller segments? Kindly I ask, what do you mean by different profiles? 🙂 (I am still trying to understand some of this. 😅)
I took CRI and mine is African Caribbean I know my great grandmother is puerto tocan and Dominican so maybe that’s why it says Afro Caribbean but I was born and raised in the states ❤
Yes, my results are 37.6 African Caribbean, Esan Nigeria 14.2, Yoruba Nigeria 12.4 , luhya Kenya 7.4 , Mende Sierra Leone 7.2, Gambia 6.1, Europe, Scandinavian 7.8, German 4.8, Spanish 3.0, this is my recent analysis
I humbly thank you so much! 🙂 I am interest in seeing what your results say! I think yours will be similar. It can be a lot to understand . . . that's why they probably recognize my number by now! Lol! 😅 Google was certainly my friend as well. It is very interesting and fun though! I hope you enjoy your journey, cousin! May God bless you! 🙏🏼❤️
@@Gracefully_Charrese 🤣🤣🤣@then recognizing your number by now!🤣 and yes I’m sure google will be my friend. And I’m sure I will need your help as well lol. And your welcome! God Bless you as well Cousin!❤️
@@BeautyBySliimm Sure, let me know if you have any questions about it. Also, if you are looking for more family, MyHeritage has that option (we do have family on there), CRI Genetics does not have it yet. Thank you so much. ❤️ 🙂
Thank you so much! Congratulations to you as well! I hope you are enjoying your discoveries! 😊 You tried CRI too! I have watched some African Ancestry videos! Very interesting test! One day, I would like to try that test as well. If you post your results, I would love to watch! These tests are so very interesting. May God bless you! 🙏🏼😊
Remember African Ancestry can only test the possible origins of one particular family line at a time and doesn't give you the overall family tree, but I believe it's a good service if you want to focus on one line like your maternal line from mother to mother. Fathers y male to male line, you will have to have your father tested or brother that you share the same father, or father's father which is you grandpa.
@@johndean5036 So, it is like a paternal haplogroup test. Thank you for this perspective. I can do this through a company I currently use then, one day. My Dad and Grandfathers are no longer here, but maybe an uncle, male 1st cousin, or one day my nephew can test.
@@Gracefully_Charrese Forgot to add the African Ancestry may give you more information about your maternal and paternal haplogroups cause they have the largest African dna database from my knowledge.
Hi! Thank you for watching! I could not seem to find it on the app 🤔, so when I get on the computer, I will let you know! 🙂 Kindly I ask, what do the genetic groups ultimately tell us? (I am still learning.)
@@Gracefully_Charrese Your genetic communities/groups indicate the groups/heritage you're most closely related to, and you can think of them as a sorta "tribe or sub-tribe". It is the migratory group your ancestors either started with, or ended with to form that community. DNA companies match specific genetic markers (along with family trees) based on relativity, and DNA clusters to form such groups within a retroactive range of 50-500 years with a median base of about 250 years. At one time it was even speculated that DNA companies would get rid of percentage based "ethnicity estimates" altogether, and replace them with these genetic groups/communities, but apparently that never manifested. Not everyone will get genetic communities, and as you indicated in your own ethnicity estimate, not everything is trickled down to the next generation, but they are inherited in accordance to a random selection on a 50% per parent on each scramble to produce 100% an offspring. I'll await your reply. Peace!
@@Gracefully_Charrese Then with the My Heritage results mingled with the South Asian & East European, when it comes to certain genetic findings, that's usually a mark I notice for individuals with Caribbean heritage. So, if you got genetic groups, I would speculate they're from the Caribbean; otherwise, thanks for sharing your results.
@@doubleutee2100 I hope all is well. Thank you for sharing! I just checked out my account (desktop view), and MyHeritage does not have any genetic groups for me at this time. This is something for me to research, however. Thank you for sharing this information with me! May God bless you! 🙏🏼🙂
Your smaller DNA segments represent ancestors further back so just by comparing larger segments versus small segment you can get different profiles.

Very interesting, and very well presented. Going back fifty generations covers a huge amount of genetic combinations.

Another great video!!!! This was so interesting! I can’t wait to do a dna test myself but it’s seems complicated when breaking everything down 😂
