  • An easy and simple explanation of what dry bulb, wet bulb, relative humidity percentage, and dew point are and where to take these measurements in HVAC applications. For adding refrigerant, you will mainly only need condenser air dry bulb temperature and the indoor wet bulb temperature. I go over where to take both of these measurements in the video.

    What makes these folks stand out from the rest? their knowledge, their communication skills, and they don't spend a lot of time self-promoting or doing goofy stuff to keep ya' watchin'. • @WordofAdviceTV
      @WordofAdviceTV  Год назад +6

      I agree. People basically pay the colleges to force them to learn. They implement deadlines, do tests, assign homework, etc. Unfortunately the majority of people don't have enough self-discipline to do it themselves. Most of the information they teach is available for free or just for the fee of a few text books. Especially with the abundance of RUclips videos nowadays, it makes it even easier to self-educate.

    You might wanna start another youtube channel with a catchy name for HVAC . Not saying your current name is bad but a lot of "new" techs coming into the field can learn this basic stuff to help them. Making sure they get to the right people will only help. The info in your videos would have helped me tremendously when i was a green tech in the field. The basics are so important to be able to advance to become a well rounded tech and understanding why things do what they do . Great info and great videos. Keep them coming 😉👍

    Hi Jay! Unrelated to wet/dry bulb: Years ago I threw away my dishwasher (which worked fine), and never got another one. This was due to a very loud water hammer that I thought would break solder joints in my house. I asked the plumber who installed the original dishwasher, but I'm not so sure he was really a plumber. Useless. Since then I've learned a bit about water hammer, and recently heard of a device called a water hammer arrester. Are you familiar? Any chance of a video about these devices? Thank you very much!

      @WordofAdviceTV  Год назад +2

      Aloha! Glad to hear you have learned a lot about the water hammer over the years. I actually don't do much plumbing jobs so I would be a bad person to ask about this. I have never installed one of those before. 🤷‍♂️

      @@WordofAdviceTV I appreciate your answer. I asked, because even though you are specialist in HVAC, I would trust your word implicitly on many topics. It is the way you present things, the way you investigate, they way you reason. When you speak on topics, it's obvious that you understand the science, the inner workings, of the things you talk about. You exude professionalism, and you care about teaching others so that they understand and have the best chance of success with a project or dealing with contractors. I thank you very much for all of that. You may not be an electrician, but you did that excellent video on switches. You may not do much plumbing, but any plumbing topic you chose to present, I would have complete confidence in your ability and advice. Looking forward to you next video! Mahalo!
