Any damage done to his car was because he's driving like a tool, and probably drinking while driving wasn't a great idea.

It's crazy how things can change. Arron the Aussie legend turned out to be a violent drunk that assaulted this guy and drove off and left him in the middle of nowhere with no food or water. Arron(AH) came back a day later. By then bike guy(BG) had started his own rescue and was in contact with police by Sat Phone. And they said to go back with(AH). That would of been the most awkward trip EVER. When they got back to Perth AH got aggressive again and the police had to get involved. WOW! WHAT AN ASS HOLE (AH).

Yes, alcohol all round. even when the phone slipped off the dash you could hear it hitting the bottles. At the end, old AH Aaron was pissed as a nute. Not a good Australian at all.

Number one red flag is drink driving. Sure, some people can responsibly have one beer on the road, one beer impairs your judgement and drinking while driving suggests or indicates he is not responsible when it comes to the road. Constant heavy alchohol use maybe be another red flag (Alcoholics can turn violent or unpredictable on certain drinks). If this is the guy that assaulted you, you may want to look for red flags in the future. It's a learning experience. :)

Was this the guy that mistreated you when he was drunk? He should have been charged for leaving you stuck in the desert and assaulting you . I hope you will get over this ordeal . One thing I must say is that you travelled places that other tourists have not been to . Most tourists only see the East Coast . They don’t even see Cape York in far North Queensland . You have done so well travelling on your motor bike .Well good for you !

    Let's see.
Two friends, alone, in a hot(?) car on dusty roads for several days on a rescue mission for one's motorcycle. That is enough to strain a friendship. If unfortunate surprises also occur, such as bad weather causing rough road conditions, it will bring out the worst in a person. Now, add that their friendship is new with a likely language barrier and frames of reference that may differ.
I am not defending bad behavior or drunk driving and certainly not violence but I would like to hear Aaron's story about the incident.

@@Adventure_Fever oh yes you were (strangers - and you still are)! You know nothing of that guy but you went ahead and trusted his good intentions until they were proven otherwise and him a douchebag. That's why you should be prepared to pay yourself out of dangerous situations. It ensures "good service" and no excuse for future resentment.
This guy drunk and let out all of his resentment on you. Learn from that! Human nature and psychology is a very complex thing. I have studied psychology (got a degree) for a long time and still have tons of uncertainty. Don't be fooled by your own assumptions. The human conundrum is hyper-complex.

@@djohnd we don't know the full story, you never know the full story anyways. No one is "making out he's the bad guy", just questioning his decision to do this trip, was it just an unfortunate incident or something preventable, maybe something in between. It is pretty crazy that people's comments went from "Aaron is the most awesome Aussie" in the last video to "Aaron needs to be locked up" in this video.

You should have met my father. Nice as pie when sober but a violent jerk when drunk on whisky. Me and my step mom were beaten up a few times. In fact, she ended up with a broken arm twice. After disagreeing with him he used to stop the car, tell me to get out, then he got out and commenced beating me up at the side of the road. I have been married now for over 40 years and never once laid a hand on my wife and kids. I remember those dark days as a kid as though it was yesterday and I'm now 71. Still to this day, I cannot stand the smell of alcohol on someone's breath as it puts me in a state of readiness to do whatever it takes to defend myself.
