With the recent discovery of driver overhead issues, I decided to create an updated guide on using DXVK for all new Intel Arc owners. This guide can potentially improve FPS for older games that use APIs like DX8, DX9, DX10, and DX11. If you enjoyed the video, please consider subscribing and sharing it. If you'd like to support the channel, I would really appreciate it if you bought me a coffee, so I can continue making content like this: Buy me a Coffee! - buymeacoffee.com/intelarctesting
AC Origins is NOTORIOUS for its poor performance on CPU side, not only with ARC cards, but with Radeon too - so red cards owners could use this trick too. Thank you for your dedication and a tutorial!
Yes I used DXVK in AC Odyssey as well with an old 4790 and RX 5600 XT and it takes the game from unusable to smooth gameplay. Makes an amazing difference.
That's a good guide. Not only for ARC users. Playing GTA 4 or early Borderlands releases with DXVK is much more enjoyable even on Nvidia GPU. To be fair I'm wondering why ARC team didn't integrate some automated way to run games with DXVK. That would be game changer for games that are still struggling on dx APIs
Thank you for this video! I recently bought a B580 and many games (especially console ports) were very stuttery or wouldn't utilize the card properly, but this fixes many issues. I'm currently playing NFS 2015 and it went from unplayable to running really well.
No this is different. Most games with DXVK start with shader cache stuttering but this is constant micro stuttering, seems to only happen in AC origins and odyssey
Bro i have some pblm with running some games and software apo in my conputer. I have windows 10 64 bit 22h2 version. When i click the icon it show 0*c00007b type error and not opening. I tried every way possible. Reinstall all c++ . Frame net. Reinstall even i download dll file from dllme and put the system 32 and system64 folder. But noting is working. What should i do? Do you have any suggession?
@@IgnacioEsteves the RX 6700 XT is faster at raster but slower at ray tracing and has a worse upscaler. VRAM is same so I would say it depends on the price and if you want to use ray tracing
Is this card good with a ryzen 5 5600G? I can get an rx 7600 for the same price but I don’t know how bad the performance hit is from the cpu overhead on the B580
i have i3 10100 paired with arc a750 with 16gb of ram and the performance is just terrible because of bottleneck, hopefully my r5 7500f coming home soon. Don't pair alchemist or even Battlemage with intel 10th CPU the performance will be ass 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th seems working very fine at 1440p, I don't think intel will fix it because alchemist had the same issue and they did nothing about it
What do you mean by "terrible"? Cuz I've seen a few videos of testing with your setup and it didn't seem that out of the ordinary. Edit: Oh never mind. I was confusing your cou with the 13100.
It's partially true... Your i3 is really weak. For example "Core i5-10600KF outperforms Core i3-10100 by an impressive 64% based on our aggregate benchmark results"... And you can get i7-10***...
Just don't use AMD CPU. Alchemist launch with AMD and INTEL CPU almost the same but while the drivers matured INTEL pairing gained a lot better performance. AMD is just a stutter fest. Alchemist now is almost 20% better than AMD in some applications and only getting better. Battlemage you can't expect anything else than use INTEL on INTEL as AMD just can't handle REBAR/E Cores.
@@krillep280 If you are running AMD/Nvidia GPU you would be right but INTEL is different architecture that needs REBAR/E Cores that AMD CPU's haven't optimized.

I've read that the've implemented dxvk into drivers already...
Nice work! Thanks for everything you do for the community.

Tyvm for this update!
thanks for the tutorial
One of the problems is pipeline need more vram if the game already use most able.
the new control keeps crashing my PC cuz mu settings unstable but the fan curve is good, I think I fixed it tho
Try running DDU in safe mode if issue comes back
It’s stuttery cause of Vulcan shader compalition after couple minutes it evens out

@@IntelArcTesting can you try gta 4
Is there a way to combine screens in the new Intel Graphics Software? I could do it in the old one pretty easy.
Do your mind sharing your msi afterburner osd profile?
can you test robocop rogue city and jedi survivor?
Can you test with Davinci Resolve , or hand brake
can you try this method with gow ragnarok?
Doesn’t work for dx12 games
My system has an i5-12400, and sometimes it crashes with the b580
Crashing usually has a different cause, mostly ram or psu.

Hello! I'm currently running a ryzen 5 5500. I assume i'll probably have these overhead issues with the b580. Is an RX 6700XT a better option?

does a770 have overhead with i5 12400? i want to upgrade to a770 16gb for $215( price in my country), is it worth it?
Absolut a good upgrade I would say. 👍
hi bro what is ur obs settings for b580 my recordings are so laggy
for 4k
I haven’t tried OBS on my system yet, I run OBS on different systems so I don’t get any performance decrease

The video from hardware unboxed was released today, comparing r5 5600 vs r7 9800x3d with b580 today, so give it a try
Is it a good idea to use AMD ryzen 5 5500 with Intel arc a580? This is my build now.
Mighty cause some issues in cpu heavy games at 1080p (probably less at 1440p), if you can a 5700X3D would be a great upgrade.

@jefftist9625 relatively terrible to other dirt cheap hardware. Like the 12400f

DX12 games doesn't really needed as the driver overhead for them quite minimal.
No only DX11 and older

I still do this stuff even on a RTX card and it does wonders
