Join Kyle and his friend Jason as they challenge themselves and go out jigging for salmon on the Great Lakes! Kyle loves to jig for salmon and hadn't gotten a chance to get out and do it since last fall. If you want to check out that video, here is a link: • Jigging for KING SALMO...
Most of our Great Lakes gear is from Okuma and can be purchased through their site here:

I absolutely love how you freak out every time you hook up! low key need a fishing partner like this haha
😂 I love this stuff!
Love your videos bro
Kings on a spinning rod is prob the best invention ever lol
Agreed!
I stumbled across this video tonight. And, I absolutely love your energy! Thanks for getting my heart pumping! I think I was just as excited as you both when you landed them!
Awesome video!
I was waiting with "Baited Breath" for the next video 😊!! Lol 😆 great 👍 VIDEO! I was about to say in the beginning 🤣 you should have brought Maggie, she show you how it's done! Say, where's my girl anyway?
😂 she'll be back soon! We have some fun video ideas to do together this summer😀
@@AdventureChasing Glad 😊 to hear that!!
Can't beat jigging salmon. Awesome vid.
That's for sure👊
I haven't watched any of your videos before. I saw you on addicted life. I do a lot of jigging for walleye, whitefish, Lakers and Sheephead off the piers and breakwalls. I don't have a large enough boat to go out on the lake so I'm confined to the river.
Your boat is big enough, if you know what to do and when. Lake Ontario is as flat as a mill pond. Somedays. Knowing which days are fit for your boat and skill is the key. Have fun, be safe. Keep learning.
P.s. the coast guard considers any boat under 65 feet a "small craft".
Awesome video as always!
Thank you!
What a cool video! I'd love to try that someday. Thanks for sharing as always.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it👍
Absolutely love this! I'll be trying this on lake Ontario this spring for sure
Love the sound of drag ripping. I hooked into a nice Atlantic the other day, ten pounds fish ripping my drag
Can't beat screaming drag😀
Thanks for sharing!
Love jigging for salmon along W Michigan, just in Pere Marquette Lake during the run last few years. You have inspired me to try it outside the arms when weather allows.... fishing from a river sled.
It's definitely worth a try. Such a blast when you get a bite!
Can’t beat jigging✅ looks like a great time!
Thank you, Bill!
Nice job. When setting up pre dawn I'm often marking a ton of fish, so why am I trolling? Gonna have to give this a try.
Definitely recommend!
Drop them spoons right out the harbor
@@ML-ks2lj They'll tear them up if you're on them!
Try buzz bombs
Listening to the fish take that like was awesome!!! Keep up the great videos
Love it man so exciting! I’m headed up north tomorrow. Will be staying at intermediate lake and fishing Torch and Traverse bay for a week. Any suggestions would be awesome.
Glad you enjoy the video! Trout should be in 60-90' of water but I haven't been fishing them in the bays lately!
Awesome show!! Curious where you launch out of in Superior? Moving to Northern Wisconsin and want to fish kings in that body of water. Thanks again for sharing.
Thank you, Chris! We Fish all over on Superior, Marquette, Munising and east to the Soo.
Looks wicked fun!
One of my favorite styles of fishing!
Need more Jason content!!! 😂
😂 He's awesome
Those aquatic hitch hikers at 1:41...
Love it.
Nice video as usual Kyle. Would there be a time of year you'd prefer blade bait over weighted jig?
Thank you, Darren. I haven't had much success with blade baits for salmon but I love them for lake trout and cisco in the spring.
I’m going out of Ludington Michigan this Thursday any tips I love the videos also where are you going out of?
I’ve heard the bathhouse to big point has been really good 130-200 fow!
Very cool video I'm gonna go try on lake Ontario
It’s Always been said When the Sun hits the water the fishing heats up! And it’s true!!
That's the truth😀
great video Kyle, time to try in out of Grand Haven, been thinking of doing this for a long time, now I know it might work. Come on down
Looked like a great time! I can't wait to do some jigging, probably this fall.
We're excited for fall jigging as well😀
Great content as usual. Thank you, Kyle. Trolling is productive but I find jigging more fun and engaging for everybody on the boat. I can’t find those jigs in Ontario. Do you know how I can them? Thank you
Thank you! I picked those jigs up at a local shop but you can find EJ Jigs if you google it. The luna jigs should be available on fish usa👍
Possibly Munising or Autrain area? I live in Munising. Awesome video!!
Great video brother.
I have the same boat. I am sure you will agree it's not the best for casting, but great for trolling.
Yes, definitely not designed for casting but it'll work if you need it to👍
Fun episode! Did you say his name is Jason Swan? Grandson of Dick Swan?
How are you not catching lakers jigging Superior are you not showing the lakers?
Just targeting different sections of water than I typically would for trout.
I see that you casting? jigging for any fish usually requires you to be vertical. l do wish more guides would familiarize themselves with this method. cuz me like a lot of other anglers freaking hate trolling.
What specs do you like for a jogging rod for salmon also what brands do you recommend
I like a 7-8' rod, medium back bone and fast action tip!
If I come up there could you put me on them I have never caught a salmon before. Alaska is my dream trip but Michigan is something I could do my family lives in Southern Michigan. Do you do charters
Yes, check out our website xxlchromechasing.com for details
greetings one hobby from Indonesia 🙏🏻
What spinning reels are you running?
Great video! Wheres Maggie??
We've been crazy busy with our charter business and family the last couple months! She'll be back soon👍
@@AdventureChasing Good to hear. Love to see the two of you fishing together! It brings your videos to a whole new level! My husband and I have been salmon and trout fishing Lake Ontario and its tributaries for the last 25 years together! :)
Man you are very excited about life laughin as soon as you hook up. Im the fisherman that out there cursing going where the hell are all the fish why aren’t the biting then why i do finally hookup, im the guy that like ya thats right im an amazing fisherman lol.
12 lb test? Well done . Should be a line breaker.
Which part of the "I've never done this before" am I not understanding? I literally just watched a jigging video for chinooks from 2021. So ya. you've done this before lol
Jigging out on the big lake vs jigging salmon in an inland lake that are staging to move up the river are very different.
What size is your Trophy?
18 feet
I think your plan would work alot better in the staging period
Where is Maggie? Haven't seen her in a while
She'll be back soon! Been a crazy busy year for us with our charter business and families.
@@AdventureChasing Really enjoy your channel
Love the intro. When I seen the title of the video the first thing I thought was, welp, no level wind reels in this video.
I am about to market a fore grip invention of mine that I 3D print. It is for use on level wind reel rigs. The Grippy Ippy
So jealous I just moved to Michigan never heard of salmon fishing and I want to go bad
