The two officers immediately take umbrage with a man of his persuasion entering their territory. Captain Porter plays it cool, and complies with their demands. Then finally when the situation escalates to a dangerous crescendo, Captain Porter let's these county cops know who really is in charge.

Several years ago, a Newport Beach policeman stopped me and it was the most insulting, sarcastic and demeaning interaction I have ever had in my life. I had accidentally turned into a residential street next to the beach that had recently been changed from two way to one way. He kept yelling at me and even asked if I knew how to read English. I realized he was trying to get m e angry but I kept calm and only said the minimum. He was a real jerk and jackass.

You might think that until you have police officers pull their guns on a simple traffic stop, which, by the way, happened to me in the middle of a week day afternoon. Just a few years ago, right here in Los Angeles, CA. There are out of control police and there are fair and honest police. Just hope you never run into one on the edge.

Did anyone catch the blooper? After he got of the phone with mayor Wilson. He threatened to tell Governor Wilson about their behavior. Then the sheriff asked him did know the Governor. He replied Governor Smith, Yeah we went to college together!
If only this was a reflection of everyday interaction, still there are some Bad criminals & Some Bad cop's,& the REAL funny thing is "the real BAD criminal's seems to ALWAYS get bail (maybe to do more harm in the community or to silence any witness that may go against them at their trials) and the lesser to innocent Go to jail for ever,, also most of the so-called criminal's are society bred, which seems to make sense to filter them back into the community, just saying,,,.

One reason why my dad carries his retired badge. Retired officers in most departments get retired id wallets, badges or both. Same idea why retired and now most recently, honorably discharged veterans get CAC cards same as Contractors, Active Duty and Retired personnel get. Easy ID and proof of entitlement to certain rights.
