the slots on the outside of the rotor don't matter. if the cooling vanes inside the rotor are angeled you should always go by those. the opening of the vane on top of the rotor should point towards the back of the car.
This 👆🏻 But just to point it out, for everyone that say the way they are mounted here is the way, both Brembo and Stoptech have the slots the oposite direction when the cooling vanes are correct 😅
Jimmy buy yourself some Whiteline front castor correction bushes for the front control arms. Also don't forget the rear steer eliminator bushes for the rear knuckles. Enjoying the rotary content from Australia
Brroooooo, the mismatched Blitz's and Kansai's are a viiiiibe. Big jdm aura. Wack some spacers on the rear to get the Kansai's filling out the rear and leave it. She be good 👌. If you could please do a semi detailed (or really detailed) video in simplifying the chassis harness, that would be much appreciated as i will be doing the same to mine.
The front brake rotors are mounted correctly, the grooves were mainly incorporated into brake rotors to assist with brake dust removal. I've installed a set of rotors some time ago, and it came with instructions for installation. Basically, it explains that in forward rotation grooves help channel brake dust to outer edge and keep braking surface clean. Keep up the great work, loving Spoon's OCD toward your projects. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Doesn't matter which way the slots are facing, what matters is the internal veins in the rotor. On the cheap stuff the veins usually aren't directional, but on the more expensive 2 Piece style rotors, you have directional veins that are only supposed to go one way.
The hat analogy was spot on. Minerva’s are like a bape 2006 gray bill vintage new era camo hat. While the kansais are like a regular black nasty lids fitted cap. Or worst a flex hat 😳
Much love to the stanky zenki. I wanted that car so bad but he's definitely doing it better than I would have. I did end up with my own zenki and it's an amazing chassis. Much love jimmy
It depends on the rotor fins they are designed to scoop air so the slots don't matter the fins scooping air facing forward matters.also torquing lug nuts to spec will help minimize warpage
I'm running 17x9+0 215/40s on my FC. Federal 595s. -3.5° Front / -2.5° Rear. Requires rolling in the front and a roll+small pull in the rear. I know you said you wanna stick with stock body, but hopefully that info can give you a decent starting reference.
Rotor orientation is determined by the air flow veins on the inside of the rotor. Good rotors have them angled to force air into the rotor while the wheel is rotating forward. The direction of the cut doesn't mean anything.
Linear rate springs do not ever need preload, in fact most of the time you are losing suspension travel and killing any type of suspension droop by doing that. You should be running helper springs and setting your bump stops and your droop so you have 60% suspension travel compression and 40% droop, willing to bet all your cars have less than 20% droop
The rotor groves don’t matter what way as long as the veins on the inside are straight, but if the veins/slots on the inside are curved then it matters.
@@Bzz637 if the inner slots/veins are straight it can go either way. I’d they are curved veins then it’s side specific. The brembo rotors are side specific because of the veins for cooling.
Some rotors are directional, the lines on the outside dont matter, its the vanes on the inside that matter. If theyre directional you need to make sure you have the vanes going the right way otherwise they wont cool.
You Guys always kill these builds!!. I am So proud of the entire crew and how far you have come. jimmy from the old bmx days with adam to now building cars youve always wanted to own. keep up the great work guys im so happy everyone vibes out like a family those are the hard groups of friends to find nowadays.
Jimmy's right about the disks it's to fling the air out with centrifugal force . But only really matters if the inner fins are curved like Jimmy said 💯
I powder coated everything on mine as well but def cant wait to use the yellow raptor liner we been saving for undercoat 😅. Thank god for all the tips on last video lolol
Larry’s video on Dj was epic
Truth 🎤 💧
I must go peep it 🤙🤣
Was a really good watch!
Fire 🔥 420
Sell me the wagon r after he sells you
Time for a vapor blaster, Jim. I'm digging the low-key vibe of this build..can't wait to see what the Vargas bros have in store. 👍
Sammit did the cheap dry ice and it works so no excuses Jimmy
This, or just get a dry ice blaster. Depending on what you're blasting, dry ice works better sometimes. From what I've seen, at least. Lol.
The hatch struts should have a tiny pressure release grub screw where you can let our a bit of the gas 👌
With the right wheel/ gold wheel, it gives the FD a run for it money. Shout out!!
I agree 100% with Spoon and Steve on the wheels
As soon as I saw the stanky zenki, my eyes LIT up. Loved that car, so happy it’s getting the love it deserves
Normally wouldn't dig the gold wheel...but on this...its kinda dope

Spoon was such a great addition to the crew/content.
MY BOY VIBING. Love it.

Your right on the rotors, only part that matters are the internal fins. FC is coming out exactly how I expected keep up the good work!
Came here to say this! If fins are angled, they need to catch air. If fins are straight, send em wherever you want lol
red seats and white car is an awesome recipe especially on 80s cars. Scotto's RWB is a prime example!
te37 on bronze with red calipers and red seats would be so freakinggg fireeeee !!!!!!!!!!!
You have to check which direction your slotted rotors internal veins run. This will determine which direction to point your slots.
Love that you’re taking an interest in the FC, and learning as you go!

And to release gasses from the brake pad heating up when braking, and yes, fronts are on correct 👍

Rudnik colab is 🔥
Jimmy in nostalgia with his mum hit so well!!!... love the content
Chur bro
Fc is the achievable dream car in the next five years, I’m so happy I get to watch this as a guide
mine aswell bro, goodluck man
You fitted the front rotars correctly jimmy,
You are right James. The slots move water. Think about the flow of the water as the rotor spins.
It’s nice Brian around again.🇬🇧👍
Big F yes on the gold techno speeds. Please Jim. Make it stick!!!
The gold wheels look super fresh.
Tony’s shop has flourished in a great way he’s doing well I always say his videos deserve more love
I've been wanting KNP's for my 91 FC forever thank you for fueling the fire
Yes sir!!! Jimmy you are the man! Keep it up! Absolute best on YT!
Jimmy & the crew are cranking this one out
When Jimmy said “18’s look too big on the FC” the moist boys where getting excited! 17’s is not what they where hoping for though!
really enjoying this build so far, nice to see you learning and bringing us along !
The hat analogy was spot on. Minerva’s are like a bape 2006 gray bill vintage new era camo hat. While the kansais are like a regular black nasty lids fitted cap. Or worst a flex hat 😳
Please tell me Im not the only one with the massive nostalgia hit at the 5:43 background music switch
Love the white on gold! Classic!
THEM BLITZ 03 FROM SUPERWOW DEFINITELY GOTTA GO ON HERE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love Tony’s videos been subbed to him for years long before he even made his kouki brown
Much love to the stanky zenki. I wanted that car so bad but he's definitely doing it better than I would have. I did end up with my own zenki and it's an amazing chassis. Much love jimmy

Wheels fit perfect in the rear, put a normal tire on it Jimbo
WHEELS ARE LIKE SHOES, YOU CAN ALWAYS CHANGE THEM AND PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT TASTE TO THEM! SALUDOS
ExcitingStuff!
Steve’s analogy was on point 😎
Spoon is right on the money with the wheels
gold wheels look so good on the white
Gotta hit up Collette she has to have a turbo rear end lying around her shop . And it's also a great reason to come back down the Florida.
Those Gold Blitz are where it’s at!
Gold for the win, Red-White-Gold for the RX7
18x9.5 15p te37v perfect fit on my FC
Those kansei wheels on the rear are where it’s at! 👌🏻
I'm 100% with Steve on the wheels. The clean 5 spokes look good on this car!
Love that you are doing a routry
we need some "Love That" stickers. It's like your catch phrase.
Guess it makes me am OG that I remember Tony!
Gold on white is a vibe

Those techno speeds are fu@#$ hot Boi looks fantastic jimmy!!!!

The technospeed wheels looks firee on that car🔥
If you can find some cheap FRS seats they would go well with the red stitching in the FC. Decent comfy seats too with some bolster
Dude its sooooo beautiful wow !!! Would Love gold wheels on the white would be 🔥 And those gotta be hood struts and not hatch struts.
The technospeed’s look pretty hot on the ol’ fc.
The rotor groves don’t matter what way as long as the veins on the inside are straight, but if the veins/slots on the inside are curved then it matters.
brembo says with the car rolling forward the outermost part of the slot should contact the pads first not the inner part of the slot
@@Bzz637 if the inner slots/veins are straight it can go either way. I’d they are curved veins then it’s side specific. The brembo rotors are side specific because of the veins for cooling.
Jimmy videos has become a must to watch everytime i had breakfast. It's a quiet morning when they didn't upload 😂
Some rotors are directional, the lines on the outside dont matter, its the vanes on the inside that matter. If theyre directional you need to make sure you have the vanes going the right way otherwise they wont cool.
Me and Steve have great minds the Kansei wheels look great
Stevie comparing wheels to flexfits and side-patch fitteds is one of the best things I've ever heard
I get what you're saying big dawg you're good
Those technospeed's look legit on there!!! Love the white with a gold wheel and a multi spoke!!
That gold on the white is 🔥🔥
The Kansai’s go crazy on the fc 👌
Great transition at the end
I love the gold on the white
You need to keep em
the kansei's are sweet man. I've got 17x9 +22 KNPs on my FC with 255/40/17 advan ad08r's all around. real damn meaty
Here in New Zealand we have a lot of rotary cars and we put 15" Modgies wheels on them. Guys like Mad Mike from red bull
Spoons right discs need to be other way for 100% braking you need but it is oaks garage so test the parts to the max PERFECTION boys
Year we outside!!!
I wanna see more of that foxbody! You should do a crazy jdm swapped foxbody mustang!
Gold wheels are hottt on the rx7. Def run those or something similar
The orange interior in Tony's S15 GOES CRAZY
Let the Blitz on, looks so good…
Blitz techno speeds all day so clean!!
The Evo 4 was seem welded chassis and the Lancer mirage was only spot welded
You Guys always kill these builds!!. I am So proud of the entire crew and how far you have come. jimmy from the old bmx days with adam to now building cars youve always wanted to own. keep up the great work guys im so happy everyone vibes out like a family those are the hard groups of friends to find nowadays.
My calipers are brembo red with white writing. Also a white car so trust me it works brother.
the gold wheels hit hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You guys did such an incredible job with the rx7. My eyes started watering a little
“2023 we out side “ slap that on a shirt !!
You're right! It's only the inner fins that depends which side the rotor goes on. If its neutral, then it doesnt matter.
Been loving the more consistent uploads! As well as the sub mails at the end!!! 🤙🏼🤙🏼🔥🔥
S4 front control arms so you can cut and lengthen your ball joints to make the track wider in front.
Awesome video jimmy!! And the gang!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Good afternoon boys, exciting stuff
Jimmy's right about the disks it's to fling the air out with centrifugal force . But only really matters if the inner fins are curved like Jimmy said 💯
Rear steer eliminator for the FC is a HUGE benefit. Way more predictable handling
Yep! DTSS eliminators are must when that rear subframe comes out for the diff swap.
The blitz wheels look sick on the fc
Lunch break gang where you at!!!!
According to powerstop brakes your front rotors are on correct.
Dude jimmy !! Nylon washers the same diameter as the bolts your using. They never scratch the bay!!!! 🎉
I powder coated everything on mine as well but def cant wait to use the yellow raptor liner we been saving for undercoat 😅. Thank god for all the tips on last video lolol
Looks really good
