    I think toughest athlete in the world so far is greko roman wrestler Alexander Karelin. Noone dominated the sport as long as he did. Also legendary armwrestler John Brzenk, who was number one for around 20 years

      Zakharevich was the lifter that made me serious about weightlifting, I had watched a few worlds and Olympics and thought it was cool, but nothing blew my mind like when I saw the 88 Olympics 110s on RUclips

      I was there at the 1989 Junior world championships in Ft Lauderdale Fl. Weller did 190, 200 and 205 several months later he almost died in a car crash in which his girlfriend died.

    3 weightclasses, he had records in the 90 kilo class, they all ended up broken though.

      I meant it more as up to the injury he held records in 2 different weight classes - the 197.5 was actually the first attempt at a 110kg world record

    Not only did Yuri "feel more tired than usual", his vision was impaired, his urine was black, and he was constantly dizzy, because of the huge doses of st@roids his coaches were giving him. Poor guy, what he went through was insane, especially while still so young.
